Penny - sounds like a new good group - I am not interested in minatures - I love making big big quilts but I know a lot of women in my guilds love minatures - I am sure Peg will see your post - if not I'll let her know about it and it will be on the agenda shortly.

great idea!

Penny

I have never made a miniature before but it does sound like fun.  Great idea.

Hi Penny,

Your idea sounds very interesting. Especially for people like me who don't have time to finish a big quilt!

What I suggest is that you post a thread in the main forums about your miniature quilt group idea. If you think there is enough interest, then you can drop me a line and I'll set one up.

I'll be featuring tips on new groups in our next QCA newsletter.Usually a new group benefits from having one or two "champions" to get the discussion started and generate activity....especially if you are thinking about doing a project together in the group.

Please touch base and let me know what you decide...I am happy to support your idea if you want to give it a try.

Best wishes,   QCA Liz S.

I, too, would be interested in a minis group.  Have never done one before but I would love to learn.

bonnie, i took a class on miniatures.   they aren't hard, it's just when you get a block done, it is only 3 inches instead of twelve.   same pieces, same amount of time,    just tiny.   you'll be surprised at just how easy they are.    gini

Count me in!  Love the look of miniatures, but have never tried one.  Can someone define how small is considered miniature?

Penny,

I have only made one. Was fun. Also something neat and small, made it very portable. I am new to the site, so don't know how the group works and am still finding my way around...but please keep me informed.  I would be interested in joining a group like that.

I think a good rule of thumb is about 16 x 20,
