I started this project a year ago and have been working in it fairly consistently since then. It's for my daughter. She saw a photo of this Maggie Walker pattern, Country Journal, online and batted her eyes at me. The pattern is out of print but we finally found one in Canada only about an hour drive from me.

I will give it to her on Mother's Day when the family gather's at her place for a brunch. It will hang on her wall.

Judy,

Your rooster quilt is fabulous!  I have this pattern from the time it came out several years ago.  I think I may have started one.  I should dig it out of the UFO boxes and finish it.    Your quilt really shows how beautiful a quilt this pattern turns out.  Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! This quilt was a definite labor of love for my daughter.  I doubt if I would have finished it otherwise. And, who, by the way, already has a ton of my quilts and uses them all.

Thank you ladies, appreciate the comments. While I probably wouldn't ever tackle another one, I did really enjoy making this one for my daughter.

Thanks Gini. If you hadn't encouraged us to do needle turn applique at that first retreat in Leavenworth I may never have attempted this.
