I have a very old quilt and its not in the best of shape.  I want to cover my dormer seat with the quilt.  Its large enough to do 2 dormers.  When I cut it, I will need to do something to the edges.  I would like to hand stitch with a plain blanket stitch. My question is will that look okay.  I have not worked with quilts before but done alot of embroidery.

thank you

If you try your blanket stitch and you don't like it you can always put a regular binding around the edges.
