I discovered pretty quickly how expensive square quilting rulers are. Then, while walking thru Lowe's for some building supplies one day, I saw some clear acrylic sheets you can buy. And they will cut them to any size you want! Needless to say, I bought an 18" x 24" sheet and had 4 rulers cut then and there! I just write the size on each with a permanent marker. 4 rulers for less than $11.00! They work great!

How do you get the lines marked on your rulers or are you using them as is?

Did you have to buff the edges after cutting or did Lowe's do it for you?

Thanks for sharing!

I didn't mark the lines, just wrote what size it was about 2" down from the top edge. I double checked the cut squares for the size I had asked for, and they were great. No need to smooth any edges. The man that cut mine did a wonderful job!
