I wish you would come to my house and teach me to do those beautiful feathers. Everytime I try feathers they turn out looking like a very deformed bird......

WOW ALTHEA, what a beautful tablerunner. The quilting is stunning.
Your Pincushions are really nice, and what nice colours you chose.

Oh Nana, you are so funny. I will come any day... And thank you or the compliments
I don't know what mid arm you have but if it has a hopping foot there is a tool/ruler that you can get that goes around your foot and allows you to guide the machine more accurately. Here is a copy and paste from Donita Reeve's site. There are others available - this is just the one I chose. It has some nice curves which are handy for outlining applique and so on.
It was mentioned in the Quilting Professional Issue 5, Nov 2002. Look in the Product and Technique Q & A Section. It was suggested as the solution to "getting your sewing needle to go exactly where you want".
It has become very popular as more and more people are finding out how easy it is to use. Testimonials
Basically, anytime you want to get more control over where the needle is going to go, you would want to use this tool.

Wynnie - I love your pincushions and coasters.
I just bought the material in blues to do a wall hanging, am anxious to get started.

Georgeous pillow, even the frames look like butterflies!
Thanks for the great ruler info. I think one thing I need to do is upgrade my quilting machine to something a little bigger and with a little better speed control at the fingertips. But it was a great starting machine to see if it was something I would really enjoy. Maybe someday.
FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi. I love this runner. Is the pattern still available somewhere? If not, is it constructed with blocks? Is there applique. If I can't get the pattern, I'm going to try to replicate on my own.

Pumpkinvinecorner.com has this pattern. I just saw it. Good luck. She has a lot of patterns. It's called tulip bell.
This is wicked pretty!
I love the color combo in the pincushion. Good job!
