gini:

the above is one of mine

Beautiful quilts!  I especially like yours!  I would love to see one or two of these blocks up close. Is the whole thing made just with small squares?  That must have taken forever.  Is the design yours?  You chose beautiful fabrics and colors!  Good job!

nancy, just click on the picture and you will see a close up.   it was a class, i will see if i can dig up the instructions.  if i find them i will send them to you.   you get two blocks out of each strip section.  if you look closely you will see the opposite blocks.  and, no it didn't take forever, it's strip pieced       gini

Here are a few of the 100+ quilts from the High Desert Quilt Show held in Burns, Or this past week-end.

Enjoy - This Tumbling Block is all hand sewn.

This one below is all hand applique and hand quilted.  The Quilter said it took her about ten years to finish it.

Below is a layered applique.

Below is a felt applique.

Gini and Snowbird....Thank you so much for sharing - very beautiful quilts and such a nice variety.  There was an oohh and an ahhhh for every one of them.

Gini - Did I miss it?  Did you mention the name of the group from your show?

Gini~

I never saw this original posting of your quilt show. What wonderful work. My favorite is your watercolor....that just seems so daunting. I love the affect. The clothes line just tickles my fancy. Too cute! Was that a mini one?

Patty~ Another great show and tell. I feel like I just walked through a large quilt show with Gini and your show and tell. The hand sewn quilt that took 10 years? Breathtaking. When you make something like that would you ever actually use it? Would it be a wall hanging? I wouldn't want anyone to touch it. Amazing work on all the quilts.

Gini~

Thanks for sharing these, too. It's amazing the scope of what can be done in quilting today. So many things to do and it just keeps growing and growing! I love the fisherman!
