It is called checks red, but it has a burnt orange to me. I grabbed it as a back up because I wasn't sure there was enough of original choice. Turned out I liked it better, I decided the other made things to busy/ flowy. Guess we will see in the end. Now to decided whether to prewash or not.....

Ok, my first time with a mystery quilt.  I am relatively new to quilting and don't have a lot of experience choosing fabrics and not knowing how they will be used adds to my uncertainty.  Here are some fabrics I pulled from my stash, I need to try and curtail my spending right now so trying to use what I have.  The top 3 are my original choices, but I have lots of the bottom one, so if I can use that instead that would be great.  Please share your thoughts on my choices.  Thanks for your suggestions.

Judy Taylor-Bellingham:
Not sure I'll take part,(unless I can adapt it to a lap size) but I've pulled some fabrics. What do you think?

Judy I like 1,2 and 4. I really like that stripe.

Linda:
Originally I was thinking of turquoise, but found this lime green color and fell in love with it!  If the quilt comes out great then I have something to throw  acrossthe foot of the bed or over the chair :)

I love the pop of the green. The quilt will turn out great.

Everyone's fabric choices look great. I need to finish the Heart and Soul quilt I have been working on before I start anything else. Picking the fabric is always to hardest thing for me to do. I'm really bad at it.

Welcome Cathie. I like your fabrics. The green and purple with the white would be nice. I'm not sure about the yellow/green one as it has areas that are very dark and very light might not play well with the pattern.

Just reading the posts makes me want to go through and see what I have size wise. I don't want to have to buy material this time around. Thanks so much for everyone's posts.

Can it be Darks (multiple) and lights (multiple) to make up the required yardage?  Not scrappy per-say but like a line of fabric that goes together?

Mandeline...it would be best with just like the instructions say...one dark. ..one light. ..one accent. ..staying with nondirectional small scale prints or solid

Here's the onlyfabric I have the yardage in. Does it all have to be in one piece? 4 years is a lot to bight off. What do you all think? Should it be able to work?

I have smaller piece (i.e. fat quarters that coordinate with the red Let me know.
