A neighbor gave me this little doll. It's only 3" tall and looks old. I did a Google image search but couldn't find anything like it. It is a needle holder.

Pull down her pants (see second photo) and there are sewing needles in her pants. Pull the string at the back of her neck to pull her pants back up.

Anyone ever see anything like this?

I haven't seen anything like this before either but I wouldn't be surprised if it's worth more than you think!!

Oh how adorable that needle holder doll is, Judy.  It looks to be quite old.    Ginny

That's what I told the neighbor who gave it to me. She acquired it many years ago when she bought a sealed box at an auction for a few bucks. She's a dear woman and, because I sew, thought I should have it.

I think there is a quilt in her future.

Yes a quilt would be a great thing to do!!  Maybe you and the doll should go on a road trip to the Antiques Roadshow!!   :)

OK, watch for me. I'll be the nervous old lady who trips over her own tongue and makes a complete fool of herself. LOL

Judy

That is really a neat doll.  Looks Japanese and very old.  Wonder if someone brought it back from the war?

Barbara,

I read your post and now I'm guessing if you could by me twin? I have been tripping over my tongue  and my own feet for years.  :~)
