Hi quilters!

Do you have a quilt star "crush"? I know mine is Mary Fons from Quilty. Her modern style astounds me. If I could meet her, I would have a million questions to ask (most probably wouldn't have to do with quilting!)

If you could meet a quilt star-someone who is known in the industry- who would it be?

Share away!

🌺 You know you are a quilter when the only scraps under your table are fabric.🐾

You all are probably too young to know these, but I'd like to meet Georgia Bonesteel and Sue Hausmann. I watched them on PBS back in the 70's and that's how I learned to quilt.

Linda I have a few Georgia Bonesteel books.

I've met Jodie Davis and Mark Lipinski.  Would like to meet: Eleanor Burns; Pat Sloan; Edyta Sitar; Carol Doak; and many more.

I would like to meet Eleanor Burns. She seems like she'd be a fun person to talk with and she always has such easy ways to do things.

I would like to meet Eleanor Burns.  Our LQS has her sister Patricia here every June and she brings many of Eleanor's quilts and explains how they decided to make the pattern and she sells, kits, fabrics, books, etc.

I look forward to this meeting every June. I would also like to go to CA to one of her classes.

Kris, Lucky you. I don't have any of Georgia's books but I have her template set.

Last year I would have answered this as wanting to meet Jenny Doan. But I have met Jenny now. She is just such a delight. So, my answer is now Leah Day. I am trying to learn free motion and Leah is my go to gal. Would love to meet Pat Sloan, Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson.

Lucky you to meet Jenny Doan.  She's the quilter I'd like to meet.  Would be great to meet someone who has not only become a quilting star but changed a small town by all her efforts!

My choice would be Beth Hayes, of McCall's Quilting magazine. She's a wonderful designer/quilter, as well as has been the editor-in-chief of the magazine and all of their associated publications, for well over a decade, now. She's a talented woman who parlayed quilting into a very successful publishing career. I admire her!
