I did manage to work on a quilted project for the last couple of days.  On the way to getting out the Christmas quilt I want to finish, I came across some pretty summer fabric and a purse pattern I wanted to make for this summer.  So, of course, I had to do this project first.  I just finished it and am now back to getting out the Christmas quilt.  Aren't fabric closets fun!

Barbara, that is a beautiful purse. And, yes, it is so much fun to find fabric you'd forgotten you had.

Wow!  That's all I can say about all the beautiful projects that have appeared in my mailbox!  I'm so jealous of the time you have to work on such lovelies!

Oh Ginny, My heart went out to you as I read your horrible happenings.  I will pray and hope that you start feeling better soon.  Get some good rest and don't try to do to much until you are fully healed - it will all wait.

Barbara - your purse is beautiful and very summery!  Great job!  It would make me smile each time I went to pick up this purse to go out the door - I would have to be going a lot... :)

Barbara,  I really like the purse you made and the fabric you found to make it.  What is the name of the pattern/designer, etc.  I think I'd like to make it too.

Donna - so sew pretty - you can tell your migraine is over - so much work - great - t looks awesome - such a simple design always thrills me as they look so wonderful... I finished one top and one pair of pants for my DGD - still waiting for the waist and leg measurements for the final touches...

Donna - I really liked her helicopter quilt when you posted it before quilting.  With the quilting, it is gorgeous.  Your current project is beautiful.  I love the colors, they really make the quilt striking.

Thea - Your outfit for your DGD is so cute!  I don't have anymore little girls in my family.  I really miss sewing those girly dresses.

Thank you, everyone for your nice comments on my purse.  It is fun.  Pat, the pattern is "Bow Tucks Tote" by Penny Sturges from quiltsillustrated. com
