Rachel, that sounds like so much fun. I am hopeful to be feeling better next week - the wx man says 90+ next week and since I developed RAand OA I love the heat. I am getting used to a new Ipad with keyboard - I have never had an Ipad before so this is totally a new thing to me but sitting in my chair I have time to figure it out. I wanted it for trips and hoping it will work well... this keyboard is difficult though... and I have to figure out how to set up my email on it yet... it is interesting though...
I have been working on my dog park quilt - I have the center done and 2 of the other blocks - have to make the pull toy yet - but it is therapeutic as I meditate when I do satin stitch as all I have to figure out for each part is the thread. I,also, am doing a lot of praying for my friend Andy - he is dying from cancer - he got cancer from cigarettes... he is not going to be with us much longer and i am just trying hard to deal with it - he was my best friend Lori's DH - I miss her so much and now Im losing him... it is hard...1 so having the satin stitching to do right now is helping me.
Hugz to all
Sorry Thea. It's hard when the ones we love are terminally ill. So very sad. :(
We have had a great time so far, three days into our trip with the grand kids. The only meltdown has come from grumpa, he hadn't eaten soon enough. The birthday girl had a wonderful first birthday party. She was very pleased to be the center of attention. The Seattle aquarium was on the agenda today. We took a bus downtown nd the train back. Wil and Anna thought the public transportation was almost as fun as the fish. Lots of walking today, so everyone is tuckered. Tomorrow is the zoo, maybe. Then Wednesday off to branson.

Agnes thanks for the reply, the problem has been happening for a while so I decided to clean all my machines yesterday, I got a new mini vacuum attachment set, then after cleaning changed all the needles, and was testing them out when this one particular one was just not right so I started messing with the adjustments, it is a manual machine, today I am going to dig out the book and start with setting it recommends then see what happens.
"may there always be work for your hands to do"
"may there always be work for your hands to do"
tnmtgrl: then after cleaning changed all the needles
Needles, being the small sensitive instrument they are, can be defective right from the factory. If change of needle doesn't resolve an issue immediately I will try a second or third before I pronounce that it wasn't a needle issue. I don't trash any until I am sure it was the needle issue. The other thing that has given me grief is that I consistently made the same error getting the thread through all the loops and hooks. As a result of that round of frustration I actually have notes on the machine as a reminder to not reverse certain areas.

Wow PP is hard work.
I'm not up to much... Dentist Vertical blind customer service a summer rash specialists to see and a couple of neighbors giving me a pain in the neck . They either don't want me to care for greenery in my yard which i like to keep down to a managable height or they are ______. OK vertical blind people just oiled my track and they are sliding better I was thinking I picked an inferior model. Garage sale is next wk. then if i get a wall unit moved I'll be back on track for sewing just too many things going on now in my life. Hope everyone else is great.
Quilting My Rainbow
Sitting at the pool watching the Tweens. Need to get back to PP.
I've been busy baking and cooking! Some of the children are gonna be home this weekend! So I need lots of food on hand!
🌺 You know you are a quilter when the only scraps under your table are fabric.🐾
Deb i like that last line about scraps under the table!
Mamag I'm thinking about putting my pool up just not sure if i want to be out in the sun much this year with all thats going on.
All of this talk about pools makes me want to walk out of the office and go to the nearest lake! It's days like these when I don't like to have a desk job-unless I could move my desk outside.
I am busy cleaning and finally unpacking everything for my guests on Sunday. I guess inviting people over to your new house is the best way to motivate you to unpack! I'm also still contemplating what will be on the menu. I am honestly considering ordering food and claiming it as my own!
I would consider myself a pretty active and fit person. However, yesterday I did a long yoga class by the lake. Yoga is supposed to be relaxing and soothe your muscles, right?? Well I must have done something wrong yesterday as I woke up sore in places I didn't even know could hurt! As my friend told me today, "I think your kind of yoga is just laying down on the mat!" I would be up for it, but it would have to be by the pool!
Have a great weekend!
ls2116 I was under the shade. I can't be in the sun with having Lupus.

Finished another row of the helicopter quilt for my DGS
Look what my dog did. She was a bad girl.
Looks like you ate out last night, Mamag.
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
