Hi, can anyone please tell me the name of this block? I am looking for the pattern and trying to resize to a 16" block instead of a 12"

You have a center block surrounded by equal size strips. This looks to be made using the common division point of 2. To make this block into 16 inches your center block will use a different measurement.

2.5 +2.5+6+2.5+2.5=16" or  2.75+2.75+5+2.75+2.75=16"

In the above equations you will have to add the 1/2" seam allowances to each measurement.

This is part of the block, however, if you click on the picture it shows you the rest of it. I have been told either salt water taffy or rose arbor.. but none of the patterns match/

I've seen it called lovers knot.  Eleanor Burns has a book with it I believe.  Hope it helps.
