Too Cute Jacy! I have halloween quilts in my gallery.

Cute Halloween cats and handsome boys (grandsons?)

I like how the 2 quilts are similar, but not the same. I don't generally make the same thing twice.

Ugh. How boring would that be. Never repeat yourself if you can help it!

Rats. I thought I had pics of the other two Halloween quilts, but i can't find them anywhere. each of the kids (except Sprout of course) has made me a spooky wall hanging. The only one I have in my files is Jr's.  I love that he gave h is mummy a yoyo to play with.

Today I am up to my nostrils in Halloweening. Just finished Sprouts costume. Hopefully he won't tear it to shreds before trick or treating tonight.

earlierI made treats for the boys' school party. We'll be leaving for that shortly.

The kids always invite their friends home for dinner and Trick or Treating on Oct 31. i never know for sure how many little monsters will be here! They've all come to expect some sort of weird feast. In years past I've sculpted meatloaf into a severed hand, a bloody foot (Both with green olive nails, and ketchup blood oozing out. The foot had cheese too,... it was seriously sick looking!) and a brain.  We've had vulcher legs and witch finger sandwiches.

Tonight we're having eyeballs simmered in blood. MMMmm-MM. Doesn't that just sound yummilisious!??  Really, its just fresh tomato soup with polish dumplings ( the kind with a meatball filling). I tossed some quinola in for some interesting blood-born parasites, and a handful of macaroni makes for nice 'veins'.   The kids don't realize that I'm filling 'em up with "good" stuff before they go beg sugar from friends and neighbors. LOL

The one in the red is my grandson, the other a playmate. These hangings are the result from a class I taught. I always encouraged students to give it their own twist. I did both to show them how simple it was to make changes to make it individual.

My only Halloween quilt or block is from our West Coast Retreat and the Ugly Fabric challenge.  So here is my little humble block:

Nice Halloween collection everyone. I didn't grow up with this holiday and it's usually an afterthought so all I have is a wall hanging from Patchabilites monthly program. I made this at the first Leavenworth retreat:

I'm currently making "The Loyal Union Sampler" with Halloween fabrics and I have purchased other projects on this theme. I'll be ready for next year.
