HI!  My name is Val. I have made quilts but I would tie them. My desire is to learn how to quilt using my own machine.  I am excited about all the possibilities that comes with machine quilting.  I have two twin size quilts, that are for my two grand-daughters, that are ready for quilting and would love to machine quilt them but apprehensive to do so.  I also look forward to forging new friendships within this quilting world and learning from all of your experiences and expertise.

Hi Val - Welcome to the club. You will love it here. I quilt my own quilts on my domestic machine and it is my favorite part. Before you actually quilt your tops, you might want to check out you tube. There are a lot of very good tutorials for free motion quilting. It helps to make practice sandwiches and practice. If you practice everyday for about 3 weeks, it will go much smoother. You tube is a very good resource for almost everything quilting. Looking forward to seeing some of your quilts. Whereabouts are you from?

Hi Val!

Welcome yo the club. I am a fairly new quilter myself. You will find so much help here from all the wonderful, experienced quilters that belong to the group. Also, I have used YouTube a lot as a great resource for learning new things.

Can't wait to see those twin quilts finished!!
