Is anyone coming to Houston for the Quilt Festival next week?
I'm here but will not be attending this year. what's up?? r u a vendor? or just going with your wish and want and need lists... LOL
I have a set of blinders, but to tell the truth they have let me down in the past..
Sherry, I'd love to go some year, for sure! Lucky you if you are going! Take pictures for us!
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
I go for the inspiration, learning, seeing new stuff and yes, buying.
I love going and I'm lucky enough to be in Houston. I have been lurking here and really enjoy the posts. What a great group of people.
Have you "met" some of the other Texas quilters here? Maybe one of them is going to the show in Houston.
Sherry, not this year as we are on a 2 month vacation visiting friends and relatives on the East Coast. Not getting back to Texas until at least mid Nov. but next year am planning to go and enjoy. I think another of the Texas gals are heading over for at least the day. Do you live in Houston? Or surrounding areas? Love to meet another quilter in Texas!
I do live in Houston, only 14 miles from the festival.
Hi Sherry! I had planned to go this year (trying to go every 2 years) but it doesn't look like that's going to happen but... never say never!! :) Have fun and spend a LOT! :)

Trying to post some pictures from quilt festival! I hope I succeed.
The pictures are sideways. I have more but not sure how to turn them when posting. The problem with me sharing pictures of the quilts is you are stuck with the ones I like most.

That's always the case with our virtual quilt shows. Don't let that stop you from posting. Those of us who didn't get to the shows enjoy seeing even a smidgen of the works.
I read your post and thought I might introduce myself! (Fellow Texan) I live in Liberty. It is about 50 miles NE of Houston. Beautiful country out here! I have quilted on and off since 2002. I have a son, age 11. He is my rock! :) Hope to hear from you soon. Please have a safe trip back home to Texas. You are in our prayers.
Oh my goodness Sherry, your quilts are gorgeous. I had to look really close as I thought the cat was a photograph. Great job! I for one am looking forward to seeing more pictures.
