I just tried calling Nana and her cell phone went straight to voice mail.  I hope she is just getting some well deserved sleep and recuperating from her travels.  I left her a message to call me or at least leave us a message here if she didn't' t feel like a long conversation on the phone.  I will let you know more when I do.

Mimi:
Anyone else getting the dreaded blue alert about not being able to get the post through and then seeing it on the thread with no post points?
Yup.

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.

Nana said she got home about 4:30 yesterday afternoon.  Like I figured, she was hurting and exhausted.  Showered and change of clothes and crashed.  She later had a cold drink and a bit to eat.  Then down and out until 2:00 PM today.  She'll be online when she can focus again.

Wooohhh  what a return trip.  12 hours in the Denver airport before flying home.  Boy I hate ticket mess ups and missed connections.  However after a full 18 hrs of sleep I am feeling almost like my old self.  I had a blast at the retreat and really enjoyed all the side trips Gini made for us on the way.  The scenery was spectacular.  It was also my first time seeing the Pacific Ocean.  Loved every minute.  The journey home wasn't even discouraging after the amazing time that I had.  Thanks Patti for another great retreat and thanks Kris for the fabulous reporting.  I already miss all my NW friends.

Nana, So glad you're home safe and sound. What a trip you and Diana had.

Deb hasn't checked in yet. But I know she arrived safely at her brother's place in Texas where she'll be for a week.

Thanks everyone for the pictures of your travels back home. Everything looks so beautiful.

Jacy I would not get that close to a moose, especially at this time of the year. They can charge at anytime. They can have an ugly character...

Quiltless:

Donna,

I think you are on the list for the End of the Oregon Trail 2014 retreat.  If so, and if you come, please consider bringing some of the pictures.  I would love to hear about the 1845 wagon train from a daughter of the pioneers.

Kath, LOL...you don't want to get me started - especially at a quilt retreat!  Don't forget we are there to "quilt 'til we wilt"!   But thanks for the compliment...I do take it as a source of pride that my family settled in Oregon before 1850.  In fact, there are some "special" considerations in Oregon(don't remember at the moment what they are) for descendants of pre-1850 settlers.  If you would like, I can pm you a few good books that should be available through the Seattle or King County Public Library System on the subject.

Nana, so glad to see you are finally home safe and sound.  I am sorry you had to deal with all the traveling hassle going home...what a mess.  But, I am certainly glad you are now feeling better!

We were so lucky to have that spectacular weather and I know it was just because you gals from the mid and east U.S.A. were here.  So, thank you very much...we all enjoyed it (and you all) tremendously!!!

Can't wait for next year...

p.s.  Did you see what I found on the way home?  (Hint:  it has a bobbin-case in the drawer)

Nana! So glad to hear you are home safe! Sure was nice meeting you - maybe next year we'll get together again at the coast. Glad you had a good time here.
