Elaine Phillips:
I actually have the outhouse from our old homestead that I hauled over 50 miles to my place. Crazy, huh?

Not crazy. Interesting.

You can find the outhouse patterns here.

Frances:
Kris, you have done a wonderful job as reporter (as always) perhaps you could come over to the UK and work for the BBC news team you could give them lessons on how to ask intelligent questions instead of stupid ones, im sure theres a job for you there.

Thanks Frances.

Elaine Phillips:

I love. All the ugly blocks. Actually none are ugly. It was hard to pick just one.

Well the fabric is ugly. The challenge was to make it look good. I think we all did a good job.

That reminds me of when my ex tore down an old house for the lumber.  The outhouse was in great shape, so they put it on a trailer and hauled it to my Dad's house.  He was going to use it as a tool shed, it was big.  Well, my Dad decided he didn't want it--(because my mother complained about it) and  my ex ended up selling it for $150 to a friend who had an antique shop and wanted it for the ambiance.   Can you imagine seeing an out house being hauled down the road on a small trailer behind a car?   LOL    Ginny

Donna pick me, pick me! I love your snowman quilt! I love the black and white...everything in it. This is the first pucture I looked at this am. Wow. It definitively has a spot of honour here!

Well, I definitely decided......I'M GOING TO THIS RETREAT COME HELL OR HIGH WATER NEXT YEAR so put my name down.  I'll get on an EAGLE if I have to to fly across country, of course I'll be as drunk as a skunk but I'll get there.

The quilts that have, so far, come out of this retreat are just awesome! I have had the time of my life reading this thread this morning.  Thank you ladies for the chance to "be with you" through cyber space. Thank you Kris for the video aspect of it.  I agree with Frances except I'd like to see you here in the states broadcasting.  Thanks to others who have posted pics as well.

Judy T-Bellingham:
I think it must be a different Bellingham as there is no Lemmi High School. I'm in Bellingham, Washington.
Nope. I might have the school name wrong, but I am certain it is in/near Bellingham WA. It's a reservation school, if that helps any...

Kris:

OK Everyone, Jacy issued an ugly fabric challenge. We each had to make one 12 inch block using the fabric she brought. We need you to vote on your favourite. The winner will receive a quilting calendar complete with patterns. For those who vote your names will be entered in a drawing for the same calendar (pictured below).

Please go to my blog and vote by leaving a comment with the number of the block you like most.

Bumping this up.  Still 6 hours for voting.

Better quilting her froggies then frogging her quilt!
