Quiltless,  you are so right.  I don't want to get into anything too much today though.  Tomorrow I have to go into the hospital for a right and left cardiac cath  to determine what has happened to the mechanical aortic valve I have that was supposed to last me through my lifetime.  It has a vascular growth that is not allowing the leaflets to close and it has affected the way my heart is having to work and causing xtreme shortness of breath.  They have to poke a hole in the septum to get to the other atrium to be able to measure the pressures above and below the valve that I now have.  I may have to spend the night , then the cardiac surgeon will decide when to do the valve replacement.  On Friday, I have to go back to the hospital and have a needle biopsy done on the enlarging growth in my thyroid.  Oh such scary fun.  Please keep me in your prayers and keep on posting pictures of the retreat to distract me.     Ginny

It looks like you guys are having a great time.  I am guessing Gini for the 2 previous trivia questions.

Gini, I love your flannel quilt blocks and look forward to seeing your finished quild down the road.

Marge, I am glad you love your quilt and thanks again Karla for letting QCA members be apart of it.

Judy T, red birds are my favorite bird, especially on a snow covered tree.

Kris, what did you bring to work on?

You inspired me last year to start a Redwork project but I am going to do mine in blue. I have bought several embroidery patterns to work on since seeing your project last year. I have found that I like doing hand embroidery more than needle turn appliqué or EPP. I still plan to learn how to do both though since I have patterns and material purchased for projects you have posted in the group

I'll quit rambling now....

I know Nana made that for me, Kris.  You must still have my address, Nana?

Those are Gini's fuzzy slippers!

Thought I'd post my MQ 9 blocks here for Nana to see.  Had to put two together to see how they will look.

The pinwheel points seemed to come together nicely but the other block leaves something to be desired.

My first thought on the first trivia is Gini, and the slippers are Ginis also.

You all look like you are having a great time. It is fun seeing all my Branson friends, and new faces I have yet to meet. Wish I was there.

I brought some hand piecing and hand embroidery but had no real plans to sew. I was roped into making an ugly fabric block though. You'll see those later when everyone is done. There will be a vote. The winner gets to keep all the blocks.

It's door prize time. Patti and our quality control experts Larry and Randy conducted the drawing:

Nancy won the first prize given out...AGAIN:

See Darlene back there? She's not impressed with Nancy's win.

Patti got a gorgeous wooden box that Randy made:

Darlene (surprise surprise) won the third prize of the day:

Is there room in the sandbox for two queens?

You're correct on the first. Those were Gini's words.

The slippers are not Gini's
