Oh, what fun to "attend" the retreat vicariously. It's lovely to already see works in progress. Kris and any others who are posting--Thank you.

Donna, my geography skills always left something to be desired.  I looked at the map and found what I thought was Gleneden and found the nearest mountain range.  LOL

Judy, that would be Nana!  In the background looks like Kris can't keep her head up.

MNnancy:

Randy told everybody that I promised to finally actually complete one quilt top at this retreat.   Does anyone have a big panel I can borrow?

LOL!  When are you going to have time at the retreat to do that, Nancy?  We have seen pictures of Deb's machine not even being plugged in.  I think somebody who had never touched a sewing machine could go to these retreats and have a lot of fun -- me, for example?  (Okay, I have touched one or two. )

Gini, is it difficult to do curved seams on flannel?

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.

Deb and I took a walk on the beach this morning. What glorious weather. We saw pelicans swooping along the top of the surf.

In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Can you see the water from the retreat buildings?

Yes Quiltless,

we can see and hear the water from our building (The Sandbox). We also have large balconies overlooking the water.

Fantastic!  Now, that's a real beach retreat.  Good job for finding that venue, Patti!

I saw Kris is online inserting media and found myself sitting by my computer waiting to see what's coming up.  I'll bet lot of QCA people keep coming back to their computers today to see what's happening at the End of the Oregon Trail Retreat.

The Queen has arrived let the sewing begin:

Jacy is recruiting victims volunteers for an ugly fabric block challenge:

Robin doesn't know what she's getting into. Who could resist such a sweet looking salesperson?

Nana is giving a class on the strip tube ruler:

Do you think they're getting it? The queen looks awfully confused:

The voila! moment:

Leslie :
Kris, I would have to say the answer to your question would be Nana

I'm afraid not ladies. Nana's innocent in this one.

The race is on. The ladies are finding fabrics to put with the ugly fabric. Darlene was first to the bin:

but Judy T soon caught up and took as much as she can before the competition could get to it:

Karla is awfully quiet we'll have to keep an eye on her:
