We're on our way to Gleneden Or. Gini, Nana, Diana and Jacy picked me up in Portland yesterday and the adventure began. We had some trouble with the GPS (recalculating). Look where we ended up:

It's s***ing! Where the heck were we? Can you guess?

We dropped into a diner to have dinner with some bears:

unfortunately they didn't think we were good enough to feed:

We walked out of this place after they ignored us for about half an hour.

This morning we'll be shop hopping on our way to the retreat site. See you there!

I am delighted that you named this "End of the Oregon Trail."  Just a little license with history but we're telling "herstory."   It took a group of QCA quilters to really "get to the end of it."  LOL!

Holy snow, Batman!  You guys be very very careful with that GPS trouble stuff and the mountain roads.  I will worry about you until I see you safe and sound at the retreat.  Keep your cell phones charged.

Were you in Klamath Mts.?

Marie, sorry they were way north of the Klamath Mountains in south central Oregon.  That's on the shoulder of Mt. Hood on the way to Bend, OR and Sisters (from Portland).

Guess they were too busy feeding the bears to bother feeding the humans.  Hope you found a really neat place with good food to eat at.   Wasn't it snowing in the Portland area?   Glad it is you there and not me.  LOL   Ginny

Oh look at all that beautiful snow.  It's so pretty.  Thanks Kris for being such a wonderful reporter.  I hope some day to see the northwestern part of our country.  Hoping to visit Glacier Nat. Park some day too.

Mimi,

When you visit Glacier National Park, be sure to take the drive on the "Going to the Sun" Highway.  It is not to be missed!

Thanks for the thoughts, Mimi. It still hurts but most of the swelling seems to have gone down. I hate all of this just sitting down. I've done about all of the handwork I can come up with! LOL!
