Hi my name is Darlene and I live in the beautiful hills of WV. I am new to quilting in pretty much everyway. I have pieced a couple quilts and hand quilted a couple but want to get into longarm quilting and some motion quilting. My husband recently purchased a new Brother sewing machine and a Husqvarna longarm quilting machine for me and I love both of them. I am practicing stippling on the longarm now and found that it likes Warm and Natural 100% cotton the best. The polyester batting made the stitches awful no matter how much I adjusted the tension.
Anyway, I am happy to be on here and love all the helpful comments I've read on some of the forums.

Darlene, welcome to the group. Do you actually have a long arm on frame? I finally talked my husband into letting me buy a mid arm and a frame about 1-1/2 years ago...boy would I love to have a real computerized long arm...but alas, not enough money or space for one.
