I have a old quilted 'piece' that is in great shape and nice colors but I cannot figure out its use - it is 76"x116" - any ideas? And what can I do to make it more useable?

You could cut it in half and have 2 pieces at 58" x 76" that could be used for lap quilts.

You could add borders to make a larger quilt.  It really all depends on what you would like to use this piece for.

A photo would help for suggestions.  given the size you have I think it may have been used as a throw or cover for a love seat  (would cover the arms) or couch.  (Might not cover arms)
