I'm an American living in Germany for the next few years thanks to my military husband. I consider myself a new quilter even though I made my first quilt almost 10 years ago, but I took a 10 year break. lol I need to relearn the basics. I'd write more but I have fabric to go cut.
Welcome, Becky ! There are lots of classes on the internet for beginning quilters, Craftsy.com has some. Missouri Star Quilt Co. has free tutorials and Jenny is a wonderful teacher. My Husband was in the Military, also, he was in the Navy so we never went to Germany. Hope you enjoy your time here with all the great people who will answer all you questions and more. Susan

My daughter and son in law were stationed in Germany at Spangdahlem Air Base. I loved visiting and would love to go back some day.
Hi Becky and welcome! Let us see what you are working on as you progress. We've just started a Mystery Quilt 9 if you'd like to check that out in Groups, above. We have lots of fun with MQ's.
Welcome Becky. I started my quilting journey in Stuttgart. I was on Patch Barracks. At the time there was a quilt shop on post called "The Gussy Goose". I joined the "Black Forest Quilters" guild and had a blast.
Welcome! You will love this site! Lots of helpful, friendly people!!! Enjoy!
