Joyce Lilie:The name of the quilt is Bella Verona.
Oh, I thought I recognized that. It's Wing and a Prayer Design, isn't it? I think I have that pattern. Yours turned out lovely!

Edit: Oh, duh, then I see that your next post identifies the designer.

Wow a lot happened since my last visit. I love all the quilts. It's good to see some old favourites again along with the new ones. Thanks for sharing everyone.
Great thread Frances...thanks for doing this! I am loving seeing (or re-seeing) the beautiful quilts.
Here is my contribution:
It's small but one of my favorites.
Its beautiful, and such wonderful work.
lots of love
I love butterflies, so this is wonderful.
Frances:how would you like to enter your favourite quilted item youve made into a virtual quilt show
Kris:It's good to see some old favourites again along with the new ones.
I do hope old favorites are okay. I didn't see the words "this summer" in Frances's message. I did notice, however, that we have not yet fully Americanized the spelling of either Frances or Kris. LOL
For those who haven't seen Donna's before, be sure to notice the amazing embroidered details! Try zooming in!
This is my tesstilating pinwheel quilt, I made it in a class at the local high school back in early 2000s. The instructor gave us a tool to make this, looked like a square ruler, lot like Lil Twister tool but was for 6" squares. what I liked it the was no waste, you used everything you cut, just had to keep it all straight, cuz it would be so easy to get it mixed up. I have made several different items with this tool, but alas, in our last move I lost it! bad thing, it was homemade so haven't been able to find another exactly like it. it's very scrappy, all fabric I had on had. It's almost a 64" square.
"I'm just a poor soul who's intentions are good. Oh, Lord, Please don't let me be misunderstood."
Nancy old favourites are very okay it can be one you made when you were 15 (last year for you) or it could be one you made last week it doesnt matter.
As for my spelling im a brit, its you whose spelling is wrong because you sailed across there and then forgot your spelling. Me and Kris spell things exactly right (kris come on stick up for us).
Debbie your tesselating pinwheel is wonderful i can see why you love it.
Some fantastic quilts here!
Jacy, Your quilt has always amazed me. What a wonderful optical beauty. I was wondering if you had used Evelyn Sloppy's pattern "Entwined" and then made it your own with the borders? I was paging through some books for ideas on some wedding quilts I have to make and saw something similar to this in her 40 Fabulous Quick-Cut Quilts. If so did you use 14 shades of aqua for the background? Thanks.
