I am a beginner quilter with several completed rag quilts, and a few unfinished quilt tops under my belt. I am interested in teaching myself to machine quilt. I'm looking forward to using the site and getting advice from the many seasoned quilters here.
Welcome Lady Spy! What part of Illinois do you hail from? We have members Eileen and Susie in Chicago. (...where I grew up)
There are many machine quilters in the club - those using their domestic sewing machines and some with mid-arms and long arms. Back in Groups, there is a free motion quilting group, but I don't know that they have been very active of late. Anyway, all you have to do is ask any question at all, and you will receive many responses from talented quilters who love to share their knowledge and experience. Have fun!

Welcome Lady Spy.
Welcome Lady Spy - you will love it here. I quilt on my little domestic machine but I did take a class at my LQS (local quilt shop). I loved it. Pretty soon you will be addicted like the rest of us.

Welcome fellow Illinoisan! Glad to see you here. Take some time to explore the groups section. There's a group for almost every interest. LOL try a retreat to get to know people face to face. Some of these gals are a HOOT!

Chime in, ask questions & have fun quilting!
Welcome Lady Spy, With all those unfinished quilts you definitely fit in with this bunch. I think I have just as many unfinished as I have finished....LOL>
I know that I have more unfinished ones than I have finished ones.

Hi and welcome Lady Spy, enjoy!
Welcome Lady Spy! What part of Illinois do you call home? As MNNancy said, I am also in Chicago-land. Much closer to Schaumburg, though.
Welcome Lady Spy :)
