Well here are some of the quilts i saw today, i have walked my legs off and my mind has been blown away by the amount of quilts i have seen, and i didnt see all of them.
Lesley, if you go tommorrow wear very comfy shoes as you will need them.
The first picture is the queue of people waiting to go in....... and there were lots.
lots of love
Sorry i have to do a few at a time.
Frances, these quilts are gorgeous!
Frances - these quilts are awesome! Did you buy anything while at the quilt show??
how was your vacation?
Thats it for tonight i will put some more on during the week.
Holiday was great, im only back for this week and then im away again for two weeks.
Did i buy anything at the show, no not really i brought 3 magazines and a large cutting board as mine has worn out, there was lots of stuff to buy but to be honest there was just too much, so all i did was stand and stare, i had been two years ago but it seemed a lot bigger this year.
Beautiful quilts! I'm sure you found lots of inspiration and have lots of ideas for new quilting projects. That's what happens to me when I attend quilt shows :)
Thanks for sharing!!
Frances, this looks like it was a marvelous quilt show. Thanks for sharing with us.
You've reminded me that I took pictures at Sisters, OR of their "Indoor Quilt Show"...that lasts the entire month of July...while I was there. I need to get those posted here too! I will post those on my blog and just post a comment here.
Oh yes Frances definitely will wear comfy shoes! I am very excited. I have to be at my friends house for 8am. So early start for me she lives about 30 minutes away. Knowing me I am sure I can find lots to spend my pennies on!
Where are you going on holiday?
Great Quilts from our Sister Quilters across the Pond! What fun!
Thanks for sharing, Frances!
My favorites.... The chess set is clever.... I zoomed in on the clock to catch all its details.... the breaching whales appear to be done with yarn?.... love the landscape quilt done with diamonds.
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
Wow. I think my favorite is the landscape of the lake and mountains. The man standing there is perfect, the shading is remarkable.
