Here are some pictures of my new Old treadle. She is a Singer 66 Red Eye, she was made in 1910. I spent most the day cleaning and oiling her.
The circle was as bad as the face plate.
They both cleaned up great.
Even the belt works, The table is in really good condition too.
I've tried her out and I really think I'm going to love her. I'm working on a baby quilt, I'm going to try sewing some seam on that.
Wow Weezee. She is beautiful.
Beautiful machine, Weezee! How are you liking the treadle action?

Beautiful machine Weezee!
She looks an awful lot like my Sphinx treadle. Has all kinds of gold scroll work and flowers and the sphinx on the base. They are such beautiful machines.
Indeed a very beautiful machine.
Beautiful machine Weezer! I'm sure you will have fun with it!

She's a beauty Weezee!
Thank you, everyone. I have sewn on her, and I do think she is great. I got 4 bobbins with her, but one is really gross. I need to find some more. I thought I might have had some from my Moms stuff, but her bobbins were for the 15 not 66, too deep. Happy sewing everyone.
Does she have the "bullet" bobbins or regular bobbins? I have 3 different treadles and they all have the bullet bobbins. They are really strange.
Nana She has the regular bobbin not the shuttle type. I had never seen the shuttle type until I went to ebay to see if I had gotten a good deal or not. What brand and birth years are your treadles? I remember when I was 3 or 4 playing on my DGM's, rocking side to side.
