I'm glad they caught it when they did, if the damage was worse than expected.  This can only be a good thing for Barbara.  Hugs & prayers for both Barbara & Paul.  I know this can't be easy for him to deal with, but I hope he has a couple people he can call to help him through the stress of it.

zoetc49:

Okay, should we make her a " heart quilt"?

Zoe, sweet of you to think of a quilt for Barbara.  Go for it if you'd like.  We did just make her a quilt a couple of months back when her mom was in a fatal accident, and I believe she said she was taking it with her to the hospital.  A person can never have too many quilts, though!

So sorry to hear about Barbara. I will be praying for her. I had open heart surgery 3 years ago and it is not fun even if all goes well. She will really need Paul when she gets home so he will need lots of prayer as well.

I have been out of town and just found out about Barbara's surgery.  My husband had open heart surgery last Aug.  Barbara will need lots of prayers for now and when she is released from the hospital.  I hope Paul has help then also.  Will be praying for both of them.

God Bless,

Joyce

Glad to hear the surgery went well. So now the prayers will focus on her recovery and for Paul to deal with all this the best that he can. Big hugs to both of them.

I went to see Barbara today and she is doing great. She had just completed a lap around the circle on the unit when I arrived. We visited for over an hour before she got tired and needed a nap. She looks very well for having just gone through the surgery. I was very happy to see how good she looked.  She is one tough cookie. She said to say hi to everyone and she appreciates the prayers.
