Thanks, Donna.  I just found out that Mom was discharged today when I tried to call her, but don't know about baby Ashtyn.   Mom shouldn't have been discharged, she should have had a transfusion, but her Dr. wouldn't okay it.  Her hemoglobin was 6!  I hope she will be okay, she is a t great risk for a stroke or heart attack at that rate.  Can you spell law suit?    Ginny

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my DGD and her new son.  He is progressing well and MAY get to come home the end of he week.   Mom is completely exhausted.  She is going to hospital everyday to nurse him and take milk to him.   Keep up the prayers for her to gain her strength back quickly. The Dr. did put her on prescription prenatal vitamins, but I don't know if she Is taking iron too or not.   Ginny

ginny, thanks for the update, it's good to hear everyone is doing ok.  as soon as she gets the little guy home she'll perk up and get some rest.   I think prenatals have iron in them

Yes Gini, that is why he put her back on them, although he gave prescription ones and from what I remember, they have a higher iron content.  So I am just waiting for the next blood draw to see how they are working.      Ginny

Ironically, I thought all prenatals had iron in them too. When I was preg with Sprout I was having an awful time with low iron - not sufficiently low to be anemic, but low enough that I was feeling the effects. I happened to read the label on  my vitamin and noticed that it did not contain any iron...so I dropped the prenatal and went back to taking my OTC daily. Within a week I was back on my feet. When I told the doc about it, he just shook his head.

Max, your DH had a great idea buying a wireless doorbell since he might not hear a bell or call out  if he is on the other side of your house.  When  I had my surgeries my Son bought us a baby monitor for me and my DH to use. It also worked.

I wish you a speedy recovery and take care.

Is,  thanks for the kind thoughts about my DGD and my brand new GGS.   Is it your sister or your son who is visiting from Fla?-- and why would they come now with all of our snow?  Did they miss it?   LOL    Ginny

Ginny it was my sister she came in to help with kids on break from school.  As for me I've gotten sick again more like allergies that would make sense because i'd tell anyone i'm allergic to winter weather.  No trips planned for me now even though our temp is on the rise.  I guess Fla. trip was too costly for my DH so I can continue dreaming.  I'll call my quilt shop hops my vacation just waiting for thermometer outside to agree with my desire to take a day trip.
