Negative 31 here this morning (not even counting wind chill factor).... and it's still only January.  Thank God for the snow blanket or we'd have a frozen septic system.

We're enjoying a balmy 47 here, Nancy.  Come on over to my side of the prairie and enjoy the heat wave.

Oh Nancy!  That can't be fun!  :-(  We are at 1, negative 23 w/WC.  Thankfully today I got to stay home.  Tomorrow, DD has another PT appt. so I will be babysitting.  I think a cold has caught me, but I will fight it.  Gotta take some Emergen-C and am eating oranges.  Feels like I have been fighting one for quite awhile now, don't know if I should just let the thing win . . .  bleh.

Everyone that is in this terrible cold, please stay safe and bundle up if you need to go out!

We are having a thaw. Pleasant warm weather, for those who go out in it.  My husband says it's icy under that water so I'm better off staying inside for a bit. I'm ok with that.

Puzzled…making a quilt block: center square finished size 8" on point with half sq triangles around. What size do I cut the squares for the triangles?

Darlene, I am so hoping that all the snow and cold blow themselves out over the next few weeks so that it will be smooth sailing on the drive to Branson and we can enjoy some outdoor walks while we're there!

I just booked a Whale Watching Trip on the bay for DH and I.  It is an early Birthday gift.  The weather here has been in the 70s.

Quilt, have fun, spend less time worrying if it is perfect.

I finally got dressed today. Waistbands and bra straps need careful placement but so far so good. I have a friend coming to stay for a day or two as my husband is going fishing  I also found out I am hosting a meeting to organize our next retreat in April. It's at 10:30 tomorrow soooo guess I'm going to have to come up with a lunch   I am feeling much much better than I have any right to expect. I can get off the couch and roll over in bed now with minimal issues. I am so lucky.  Except when I talk to my husband, then I am a brave little soldier.

Darlene(2 manyhorses) - oh, you are so right.  Oklahoma has had some cold nights, talking 16 when I left work last night, without windchill.  And no snow to givr it a ewason to be cold.  Now, the weather is suppose to be 60 on Sat and 64 on Sun before we go back to teens again on Mon.  38 today but wind has picked up so, 22 mph, so really feel the cold.  I'm hoping Branson will be warmer, too but hot tub will help.

Vivian, Can't you play the brave little soldier card with your retreat organizers so they bring the lunch to you?  After all, you are brave enough to host them.   But it sounds like you are doing really well- keep it up girl, but don't overdo it.      Ginny

Sounds like fun, Brenda.  We should be in the 70's by Sunday here in Florida.
