Quilting My Rainbow
Today I ve received all my bom for around time square and they ended up selling out of the fabric that I wanted to back it with. Luckily I found a substitution. I guess if I do future bom's I'll get my backing before the end of the year.
I ventured out to the big city early this am and I have gotten most of my shopping done, except for the gift cards and the one kid I forgot, dang. Sam is headed back to branson in the morning, so he invited me to spend the night with him. What a guy, it included dinner. I'll head home in the morning.
I spent the day making quilted mug rugs for gifts for neighbors; a mug rug, coffee mug and packets of hot chocolate, spiced cider and a special tea wrapped up. One neighbor dropped in for a visit yesterday and came to see what I was doing in my sewing room. I was working on HER mug rug! She saw it and really liked it -- even got into choosing the fabrics from the choices I was considering and discussing which fabrics should go in what sequence. Never had a clue that it was hers. LOL! Now I know for sure she will like it.
Too fun Quiltless!!
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
This is what I've been working on for the last few weeks since home from our 2-month trip to the easy coast. All the boots are embroidered, each one a different pattern. Then they are in a twist-n-turn pattern, then set in larger blocks. The stars are also embroidered and finally the prairie points are set in. I'm almost done! I have the backing on the long arm and should get the front pinned on tomorrow. Thinking to quilt, loops, stars and cowboy hats as my pattern. I usually just do free hand quilting no drawing. It's for my youngest son's Christmas gift. I'll get some close ups tomorrow when I put it on the long arm.
