Oh Marie,  My soon to be 6y/o GGD loves wearing bright mismatched sox.  Her Mom even has been able to buy sox that come unmatched.  She thinks she is just something else when you mention them.     Ginny

I have to agree, my nearly 15 year old grandson has an attitude that won't quit.  He's a dear, sweet, loving child, if he'd just learn to keep his mouth shut.

Haven't been able to sew.  Trying to beat the snowy weather and get more furniture to garage so my new machine can be kept in my quilters dream cabinet on main floor rather than in basement.  everyday there are more errands to run or other members of family.  I'll keep ya posted on my progress.

Hi Gang,  I need to go to store today before heavy rain comes in.  It's just DH and myself for Thanksgiving.  I still make a turkey breast and fixings just to remind me what day it is.  I will probably spend the rest of the day in my sewing room.  Everyone have a great Thanksgiving.

IS, Take a picture of your new machine in the cabinet when you finally get it set up--I'd love to drool over it.    LOL    Ginny

Diane, you and your hubby are welcome to join us for the feast. There's always plenty. on

Yes! Yes IS. Ginny is right, we need a picture!

You know the worse of this whole teen thing? I'm gonna spend the next 18 years with one inthe house, and by then my grands will be teens! If what you all keep saying is true, then about the time DD starts getting her head back on straight, DS will be coming into it, when he out-grows it, Jr will be there, and so on...  ... ... WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!?????

You did good, CC, boys are not nearly as bad as girls.  My two boys were really easy.  The girls were another thing!  Usually when the girls get past all that madness they're your friends forever.  As for the boys, not so close.

DD was such a pain growing up.  But now we are each others best friends!  We go shopping every Thursday.  We have lunch every Sunday.  If we are gone, we miss each other lots and lots.  I love it!  It does truly get better.  Hang in there, it is worth it!

Today, I went to church and helped decorate for Christmas.  We are trying to get into the 21st century, w/more modern deco, but then there is the $$$.  But slowly but surely we are getting there.  :-)  I keep pushing . ..

Tomorrow I will go back into town and get the food for turkey day.  I hope to make rolls too.  Now to see if I can get DH to take me out for supper.  :-)

CC, God is in control !!! He gave you those beautiful children because he knew you could handle it. And it sounds to me like you and your DH are wonderful parents with great kids, too. My mom had seven  the oldest 15 when the last one was born. I thought she was crazy. One time when she was listening to me vent about raising kids, she said ,Enjoy them, its the best years of your life. If she could say that after 35 years of raising kids, who was I to complain when I only had two. LOL  She was a good grandma, too.   YOU ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB!!!      Susan

CC

You crack me up. However, I have one 36 that hasn't figured out how to loose the attitude, and her daughter that we have always raised that is 15. So we went from 18 year olds being parents, to being mid 50's and raising a teen while trying to make plans for retirement. It sure has been a long and winding road. LOL

My brother traveled through Wy this week and saw this in a local newspaper: http://county10.com/2013/11/25/quilts-valor-awarded-71-fremont-county-veterans-post-veterans-day-event-riverton/

I love how they are all bundled up snuggling in their new quilts in the pics. LOL

Patricia Faye,

I didn't know we had another Texas Gal so close! I live in the Boerne area and we have another quilter in the Fair Oaks area and Devine area.  We need to plan a sewing day in this area!!
