Today I'm going with DH family to circus.  Been talking with DD found out shes quite busy for holidays.  I guess I don't have to worry about sprucing  up my house as much.  Haven't been sewing much, but I'm sleeping better at last.

Patricia Faye, I was introduced to quilting by friends who had large frames and hand-quilted. I loved the social aspect, but then I saw all the beautiful fabrics and simplified methods and figured I would learn to machine quilt.

4 tops is impressive!

Glad to hear that you are sleeping better, IS.  I took up the job of not sleeping well for you, I think.   Enjoy the circus.  I haven't been to the circus since I was a child.    Ginny

I had my aunt get 4 tickets to the nutcracker months ago before life got crazy.  She called yesterday, she had forgotten that she had gotten them too.   I gave my tickets to DD & SIL and kids.   Then auntie calls back and tells me her date backed out.  He's got kidney stones. And would I be her date. So I am off to the ballet after all with my two aunties and cousin.   Should be a fun night out with the girls.

Just got back from a road trip visiting family here and there.  Found a fabric store (how does that happen??) that was having a sale. So of course I shopped.  Tried to pick fabrics that would look good with a bundle I have here and I think it looks pretty good.

Upside down again. The fabrics on the "top" are the ones from my stash. The others the new ones

Yesterday  I gave away all of my extra fabric I had for the OSU quilt. I just did not want to see anything that reminded me of it, of course I still have pictures. The woman I gave it to gave me some fabric that I could use, so this was a great swap.

Yummy  haul Vivian!!

I got to town today and made DH stop at the LQS that's closing. I came home with a stack of batiks and some books. I spent WAY more then we could afford, but I got it all 30% off, so that's like getting ever 4th yard free, right? How could I say no??  LOL  DS1 says I bought a rainbow.

I actually went in to get fabric for Jr's star. he's the only one of the kids I haven't made one for and he designed a purty one on EQ. I thought sure I could come up with the confederate colors he likes (Faded red, denim blue and soft tan) at the sale, but she didn't have anything that wasn't sprinkled with posies. Shucks.

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.

Great haul, CC, I can't resist a good sale at the LQS either.  I just love batiks, they're my favorite and it looks like you got some nice ones.

CC, Nothing like a quilt store sale! Looks like you found some great things.

There is a quilt store near me going out of business, all fabric $6/yard. I'm trying to resist, trying to stay away.
