CC, that is one contented looking kid on one beautiful quilt! Kudos to you :-)  Hey - you could put a label on your quilts from now on if they all get this test: "Sprout approved"!

CC - what is the pattern on your cancer quilt?  I like it and what a cutie Sprout is.  I have a 3 yr old grandson and is little brother is 13 months - I could see these three running around, having some fun!

Carolyn (CarolBeau):
Congratulations, Ladies!!  Only 19,412 days for me - Dec 31, 2066 (but who's counting?)  lol.

3Wow!  Carolyn - I didn't start counting till at 1,000.  I would be so depressed seeing that many days left.  I would be 113 years old!

Thanks for the sweet comments girls. I can't tell you how relieved i will be when that quilt gets to it's intended victim....

Debbie, the pattern came out of an old issue of a quilt magazine, but I can't  even remember which one, so I can't give proper credit. :( It's just a 3 strip rail fence with  HSTs in opposite corners.  DD liked it so much that she's making herself one using purple and lime green, with orange for the corners. It's pretty bold and bright, and she's loving it.

I have fabrics pulled for that one as we'll. it is shown in blues with yellow HST and it looks to bright and happy. It is my next project. I'm not at home so I can't tell you which magazine it is in.

The one I saw was done in soft orange, gold,  pale yellow and red. It's warm and welcoming.  I'm thinking it was in a McCalls Quilting mag that was published in 2005-2007, but...*shrug*  Anyway, if you can do the math on a rail fence you can make that pattern, easy peezy.

I got to the PO just as the husband and grandkids of the quilt's owner were walking out the door. Thankfully, my timing was such that they just waved and went on their way instead of stopping to chat, thus I avoided ruining the surprise.

We have a very  opinionated neighbor who was in the PO when I got there and she, of course, demanded to know what I had and what it was for. I explained what it was and that we were gathering cards to send along with it. I asked if she'd please do one, too and she proceeded to go off on a rant about how I shouldn't be wasting my time and energy on a chemo quilt since the patient is no longer getting chemo anyway....  She even went so far as to imply that I should have made it for her instead!!! YOUCH! How awful to be so self absorbed and petty.  Sadly we'll have to rely on this grump to put out the word to a goodly number of folks if we're going to have any hope of getting cards to send along. They have to be a specific size to fit in the pockets i made into the quilt, and she  groused about that, too...  Guess I should have asked her permission first, huh? LOL

Karla, your little one sure is cute ,and glad the dogs are good with him.

I'm going to show the loves of my life in their costumes. The older is Princess Peach from a game and the other is Sofia the First. They wouldn't look at me Daddy was doing something more interesting I guess.

Lovely pictures of little people ladies.

Only 8 night sleeps until we fly to your wonderful country. Can't wait. Really looking forward to it.

Have to get through 5 days at work yet but sure I'll manage!

Leslie :
I bought 2 new machines   a serger and a felting machine

Leslie, a felting machine???  That's something new to me, so I did a Google search, and in addition to ads promoting particular brands of felting machines, I came across this video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc59ntPPkA

This gal is very talented and creative - artsy!  Is this the type of work you intend to use your machine for?  Will you do it commercially or just for your own use?  You'll have to bring along some of your creations to the Branson retreat.
