Patti:
Preparing for winter today.  I think the next snow will stay until March.

Patti, I will agree it sure feels like snow today.  The forecast doesn't agree, but what do they know...lol!  We "battened down the final hatches" today too!  And, we have a nice toasty fire going in the stove this evening too.  It sure takes the chill off very nicely!

Patti:
I have been thinking all day that it looked like it could snow.

Patti, I just found out there is 14 inches of new snow at Harts Pass!  Time to get the skis waxed...

Beautiful pic, Donna, wish it would snow more here.

Didn't get any sewing done today...leaf raking, then TaeKwon/Do and then DGS1's fall concert.  He is in the honors choir and it was their first concert of the year.  One soloist forgot his words and another missed his note, but all in all the choir did a good job.  DGS1 sure looked good in his tux...DD1 better watch out for all of those girls.  He sure is a handsome young man.  Wish I had remembered to take my camera with me.

We were so busy this summer my DH said he had to get a job to get a day off!!!  Retirement is good if you have something to do.

I can't say "no' either. 'Think it probably has something to do with a strong desire to feel needed...

Today I am going to work - unpaid, of course- for a few hours and then home todo chores and chase Sprout. Hopefully I'll get time to bast together the quilt sandwich.

Oh Carolyn, you must still be a babe in arms...if I was still alive in 2066, I would have been married for 100 years.  At times it seems like I already have been married that long since I got married at the ripe old age of 16, LOL.

Me too, but I don't think my children or grandchildren haven't anything planned for me today...Thursday is my one day off (unless DH comes up with a project that I need to help with), and I plan to enjoy it.  I might even break down and cook dinner, thinking I might put a beef stew in the old crockpot.

I pieced the back of the cancer quilt yesterday. I hope to get it sandwiched today. Maybe I'll even make progress on actually quilting it...

Today I am teaching myself to foundation piece...I've only messed up two of the pieces so far, but now I'm on a roll...think I've got it figured out.  Not sure yet if I like it or not, for me it is slow going, but the pieces I have done look pretty good.

Maybe by the end of the day, I will have this block finished, LOL.

Tonight is sparring practice at TaeKwonDo, so I know what I'll be doing this evening.  I'd rather be going to the Prime Rib Buffet at the local casino, but I guess I'll have to settle for leftover Beef Stew.

Quilting, bookkeeping, all is on hold. I'm completely re arranging my little sewing/office room to try to get a handle on the disorder. I'm actually able to eliminate two small file cabinets and push the lateral cabinet under my work counter. I'm trying to make room for a better ironing surface as well as weed out junk. Poor George no longer complains when I want to move things around. He just looks depressed and says "OK, what is it you want done?" .

This time it involved him crawling under my work counter to remove some braces. About that time I picked up a desktop storage thingy, it slipped and paper clips, pins, pens, odds and ends went everywhere. The dogs went nuts barking, the cat scrambled across the room which sent the dogs into an additional frenzy and they knocked over a huge stack of files I had piled on the chair. Of course papers flew out of the files. George didn't cuss. I did.

I think it's time to take a break.

Karla, I hate paper piecing, but sometimes it is the easiest and best way to get the block you want.    I made the Harry potter quilt in the paper piecing group to force me to learn.   Every block was different, so I didn't get bored.   You have enough grandsons that one of them might like it for a present.

Judy,  dang,  I'll do some support  cussing for you.  Wish you had a. Video so we could all watch the chaos.   : )

Judy, your house sounds like mine, most of the time.  Not so chaotic today, but certainly a real mess.
