I wish I had a basement for a "woman cave", LOL.  I've taken over one bedroom and half of the living room with my machines and cutting tables, much to my husband's chagrin.

Have you ever had to move furniture to take a picture of a quilt top thats what I did today?  I'll be making the sandwich this week unless I didn't get enough for the backing fabric.  After I get my quilt quilted I'll start on a cupcake quilt also for relatives.

Pat, the price on theirs was $2299. I know it was a Bernina store.  I didn't get the brochure as I only was thinking to post a pic. I wasn't interested for myself.

weezee56:

CC, Diane and Jen, which grace frame do you three have?

I have the Z44 hand quilting frame.....I am currently looking at new machines and machine/frame combos....having trouble deciding if I want just a really good machine that I can piece and quilt on or if I want to get a combo just for quilting and use my small machine for piecing.....I really don't have room to put up another frame...it would be tight...so I think I am leaning toward just the machine....being that I would be a total newbie to FMQ I think that I should go with just the machine, that way I could still have my Z44 set up and still have room to FMQ on the new machine...I've been looking at machines online, but it's so frustrating to not be able to see prices...the nearest store to me is an hour away....guess I will be going to look on my vacation.

Lesley,

Thoughts and prayers to your brother and his father in law.  We has the same kind of silliness go on with my parents. I was the one taking care of them and they wanted to be near me but sibs wouldn't let them move.  Just a huge nasty mess.

On the other side, we got some e mails today stating that my MIL is having some problems and might need some place to stay.  Our offer is out.  We even researched her health care options to insure she could have emergency care if needed.  She also is in her mid 90's, but is fairly healthy.

Hugs

Jan

Thanks for the info Michelle. That is not in my budget at the moment, but maybe one will show up on Craigslist or at the flea market.

Well we woke up to snow this morning. My littlest guy just couldn't wait to get boots on and get out there in it. I think I see a future free-motion quilter, look at those designs he had fun making.

I hope everyone's health issue and family travails work out favorably for everyone.

our Halloween party was a howling success.  There were a few more kids than I anticipated.  The kids were told they could invite two friends each, I think we had 14.   We asked Anna how Gretchen came and she said" oh, I gave her an invitation".   Seems she gave out a few more than 2.   One little girl didn't know where we lived and neither did her parents.  Neither  Wendy or I talked to her parents.  Anna gave her the name of our neighborhood and they drove around until they saw a lot of cars and knocked on the door, she brought her brother.  Lori made a pumpkin throwing up(guacamole ) it was icky cute.

we are having a huge wind storm. A BBQ cover flew across the yard during the party.  We sent the kids off to chase it down.  Jd tackled it 100yds out, he and  wil wrestled it up to bring it back, the wind caught it again and blew the kids on their rear-ends.

We are now in the  middle  of the Washington desert, the wind is howling here too.   I had a heck of a time getting the car door open, and the wind blew it shut. For me.

I think this means our weather is changing a winter is on it's way.  I will get a few days of Elza cuddles then it's back home for a while.
