Marie:

Thanks Leslie, I can't get enough of him.  Mom and Dad took him on an apple picking trip and somehow he got into the pumpkin patch.

Marie, you gotta post a full sized pic of this! I wanna see that sweety proper and not shrunk down to thumbnail sized!

Changing the subject.... from a fun one to a more serious one .... I spent the day with the doctor. It seems my leg is swollen for some reason unknown as of now. But after an ultrasound, we found out that at least it wasn't a blood clot. Praise on that one. Now he has put me on medicine to reduce the swelling. Please pray that all goes well and that after resting it this weekend, I'll be better by Monday. I'm to call him back then if it's not better. Then I guess he'll go to an x-ray but I am no doctor at all. ... The bright spot in my day was that I had a little time to hobble around so DH suggested I go to a nearby quilt store and spend some time. I found some great Civil War fabrics to add to my Union Sampler. .... Thanks in advance for the prayers.

Marie:

chocake2:
That'd be one retreat No One would soon forget!  I wanna be there!

CC, how about you come to me and then we'll take a plane out of Boston, MA to wherever there's a retreat.  You choose and I'll be ready.  I only traveled alone once and if it wasn't for the kindness of strangers I'd've ended up somewhere in Ethiopia.

Marie you should know that I have only traveled once myself and if it wasn't for my 11 year old daughter taking me by the hand and guiding me, I never would have made it to where we were going! If, by the grace of God, I made it to you, then we'd be the blind leading the blind at the Boston Airport.

We posted simultaneously, roxana, . Be assured you have my prayers. While you are putting your feet up this weekend you can be hand sewing, reading quilt magazines and designing new blocks for those yummy new fabrics.

Hope everything is all right by Monday.  Or even tomorrow.  My thoughts and prayers are there for you.  Your healing is in His hands.

Oh Roxana - I'm so sorry to hear your are having problems. Make sure you rest with your feet up. I will certainly prayer for you. Also my thoughts will be with  you.

On a little different note:

Yesterday I took a day trip on a bus tour with my father and sister. It was so much furn. We love going on these day trips. It's usually only a 2 hour drive by bus but traffic was so bad, it took us almost 3 hours to get home. I didn't get home until almost 11:00 and my bed time is usually 9:00. I had so much fun with my father and sister. Tomorrow I will post a picture so you all can see how beautiful it was in Frisco.

I think, ms. Marie, that you and kris need to plan a retreat somewhere close to the two of you.  I'ld be the first one to book a ticket.

My dr's say i will never walk without assistance.  It is spreading pain up to,kneennow. I sprained my ankle on a fall in april and a pain syndrome set into ankle, and it is spreading. The only relief I get is laying down with leg extendedcan not use tin lizzie atball. To use reg sewing machine i can sit, for short periods.  I have one procedure  that i can try. I am going to a specialist then theynask ins co to pay for it. So maybe nov i will get nerve stimulation procedure.  After that no other Procedures.  Just have to use pain meds  to cover pain. It is called RSD.  Banking on nerve stimulation working as nothing after that.  I am resting and trying to stay positive..

Roxana - I am feeling your pain, left leg is still swollen since I've been home from my surgery.  Right has gone back to normal but not the left.  I've been wearing the white compression hoses they put on you before surgery to avoid blood clots and they have helped a lot.  When we went to ER they did 4 tests -  which all showed everything normal.  Dr said since they had clamped off that vein during the surgery, it could take a few months before it got back to normal.  I use a cane around the house and my walker when out.

Thoughts and prayers coming your way that Dr figures this out and that things get back to normal.  I feel for you, Sweetie!

Roxana, Nan & Debbie--My heart goes out to you with your leg issues.  I struggle with a bad knee, but at least I continue to be mobile.  I have a brace that I can put on which helps because it holds the kneecap in place.  I do remember, though, after my surgery when I couldn't get around.  I will keep you in my prayers for healing!

I was able to get the rest of my HSTs done for the MQ last night.  Now I just need to press them open and square them up so I can move onto the next step.  No little kiddies at home this weekend, so I plan on spending it at my machine!  I MAY temporarily relocate my machine so that I can watch movies while I'm stitching.  Either that, or hijack one of the kids' laptops so I can watch from where I have my machine placed.  If I get my daughter's, she also has a netflix subscription, so I could watch something that we don't have on hand.  Hmmm....we'll see what I come up with.

CC, Gini, Marie & Leslie--I would SOOO love to meet you in person!  I love all the antics you get into!

But CC, we'd be holding hands and that would make it all ok.  I traveled once with my 8 yr. old son and when there was a little turbulence my eyes practically fell out of my head and he and the guy a seat away were smiling behind my back.  NOT FUNNY!
