Sounds like everyone has aches and pains. I'm no exception. Today I started PT for my shoulders because I'm loosing range of motion. I had limited range of motion to begin with because I never recovered full range after the car accident. My core is also getting weak and I'm walking bent over so I wear a body brace several hours a day, then a back brace the rest of the day. Tomorrow I return to a brain trauma eye specialist. It has been discovered (after having an eye infection) that my left eye is not receiving messages from the brain and is not working with the right eye. My biofocals have been taken away and I now have a pair of glasses for distance and a pair for close up. The close up pair I'm having problems with...I can't sew a straight line and the computer screen is blurry. I'm getting a filter for the computer screen to block the bright glare. I am sensitive to bright lights. Tomorrow I find out how much therapy will be involved and how much it will cost me. This doctor is out of network so no insurance coverage. The insurance company told me to have him call because this sounds like a serious enough case that they may make an exception. It's in God's hands.

Meanwhile I'm having difficulty sewing. I rip more than I sew.

I've posted before that one of my favorite pestos is sage with toasted walnut.  I love it served with gnocchi.
Mmm...I bet that is devine!

Thank you everyone for you thoughts and prayers, I need them and I believe they will help.

I have started to take Vit D and B12 to help and I do have one of those lights specific for SAD. You are suppose to sit under it for about 15 to 20 mins a day ie, working on the computer, sewing, or whatever, you do not have to just sit , the light just has to be on you.

It is completely normal to have SAD in the summer instead of the winter, it is a seasonal disorder. So it can happen at anytime.  I will try to paste a link here that will explain it some.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonal_affective_disorder

If this does not help, I can get my Nursing books out and check it out there.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.

Linda, I am sad to learn that you are having many more problems with your wretched body that won't cooperate with what you want it to do- and now new vision problems too.   It sounds like the insurance company might be willing to work with reimbursing that out of network Doctor.  I pray that they do.  I will up my prayers for you.    Take care girlfriend and Let God take care of these problems.   Ginny

Julienne, I usually take vit B12 all school year because I don't get as much sun as I want and my energy gets low.  I hope and pray that it will help you with your SAD.

Ginny and CC and Nanteen I also send prayers your way in the hopes that: they can fix Ginny's heart valve quickly and successfully, get CC's hubby to understand she would rather have him around for many years.... let the kids tell him that he needs a visit to the doctor because they love him too. Nanteen I hope that  your foot and ankle will get better.

Linda, Thea and Barbara, prayers are still coming your way. I know this is a very long haul to get back to health but patience and perseverance will get you there.

i hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did I apologize.

have a good day everyone filled with love and health and energy.

My health advocate pushes vitamin D3 for this.  She recommends 5,000 units daily.

My sewing room is full of wedding crafts, Uggggg.  I have a daughter getting married October 26, 2013, her and I (mostly me, LOL) have made all the table decorations including paper flowers and burlap table runners.  Candles made by DH, vases wrapped in twill.  See why there is no room for me in there?

I decided to finish quilting my first queen size quilt on my regular sewing machine.  I took over the family room and started.  I could not start on MQ9 until I tried to quilt. I have been scared to start I wanted it to be perfect.

I still have more to do but I feel great.  Thanks everyone for your posts it has made me keep going.

Quilt, have fun, spend less time worrying if it is perfect.

Congratulations, Brenda!  That is a big undertaking!  How are your shoulders holding up?  I hope you'll share pictures when you are finished.

I take B12 as well even though I live in San Diego and am in the sun a lot.  It helps with my depression.

Quilt, have fun, spend less time worrying if it is perfect.
