Oh no... I'm with Susie... I love REAL Fall weather... Now the real winter stuff that we get so seldom in Arkansas, I can do without. But you can't beat a cool Fall day! ... We get too much heat in Arkansas way into the Fall for me.

Fall, what's Fall? It's summer most of the year round here. I look forward to when the temp drops from the 90's to the low 80's.

WOW, ROXANA!!!  Our postage stamp swap group filled up in just one day!  What do you say we start another group?  Is anyone out there interested?  Another group of 16... same rules apply!

If you'd like to sign up please join the Swap Group if you haven't already and leave a message on the thread that you'd like to join!  If you've already signed up on the first list and want to be on both, that's ok too, just try not to duplicate any fabrics more than you need to between the 2 groups.

Ginny:

Hush your mouth, Susie!  How dare you wish summer away.  It's my favorite time--less arthritis pain and more ability to sew.     Ginny

Sorry, Ginny, but I"m a snow baby.  My body just can't handle the heat, and then I get so miserable and sick.  I keep threatening my kids that I'm moving to Alaska, just so I don't have to deal with the heat.  It's so much easier to add layers to stay warm than to strip them off to stay cool--you can only strip so much, lol!  And I have a new potato chowder receipe that I so want to try...just too hot for soup/chowder/stews right now.

Alaska is too far away. You have to deal with all that light in one season and all the dark in another. Too much light in one day would really throw me off track. LOL!

Roxana--the light wouldn't bother me in the least.  I always sleep with a light on anyway.  But the distance is an issue...expecially now with my granddaughters.

Although...they say there are 10 men for every one woman...Maybe Marie & I should plan a trip?

Sukochi, Did it say why she is in the hospital?  She certainly has had a difficult year.

Required reading for managers at USPS back in the day...now most of them (according to my daughter who is a carrier) can't read at all.
these are the same people who put forth the cracked pee cup, after all...

It is because of another small bowel obstruction. If ng tube does not work they may have to do surgery. You can see it on her facebook page. There has been no word since that.

Roxana:
Good luck with your meeting.

Hey, it went well!  After the meeting, some gals told me they liked the level of professionalism, and others told me it was fun.  (...or did they say I looked funny?)  If a meeting is fun and yet professional, I think that's a good thing.  The new touch-and-feel show & tell did go over well.  We tried a new birthday raffle idea for raising additional program money, and it brought in $60 this first month.  No one in attendance seemed upset about moving to the church.  Of course, our numbers were down a bit because dues were raised from $20 to $25.  (Gee, that's an extra 50 cents a meeting.)  You know, if our speakers would just agree to walk to our meetings, we wouldn't need to increase the program budget.

Thanks Sukochi.  I know it sounds funny but I don't do Facebook.  I know I'm a little weird but I just don't trust it.

sleeping in someone else's bed not so good.  And that's alone, CC!  Sleeping in my bed last night, also alone, CC,
Ah Gee...where's the fun in that Marie? No one snoring you to sleep with their  timber rattling tones; no sharp toe nails raking your leg; no blanket snatching...   Honestly,Girl, how can you stand it?

You've got a good point there CC.
