Have been reading and trying to keep up with everyone, but have been traveling with my mother for over a week, so haven't had anytime to quilt.  I did finish binding a quilt on the trip in the hotels. Gave it to a family member as a thank you for setting up the family reunion.  Had a great time visiting family and friends with my mother.  She really enjoyed the trip, wanted to make sure we had time with family while we are all still "young" enough to travel.

I've been getting emails of thanks from people at church today.  Sunday on the fellowship card in the prayer request section, I wrote RAIN!  We received an inch of rain yesterday, the first rain since July 18.  Wish I had known all I had to do was write it down for the prayer team to work on....

Gini, I  laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. Thanks for the comic relief. I needed a good laugh. Actually, I think you were speaking " Barbara". No offense meant, Barbara.

Yesterday I went to the eye doctor again. He talked to a specialist who works with brain trauma patients. They think that my eye isn't receiving messages from the brain so it isn't working with the right eye. It also could be the reason it gets blurry and I see double and why I'm so sensitive to bright light. So I have an appointment with the specialist in 2 weeks and hopefully he can help me after close to 6 years. And I pray to God that I'll be able to read books again.

I'm still working on the Navajo quilt but hope to have the top done today. With all the eye drops it's been difficult to sew. But I have a deadline to meet. I've been having to take 2 hour naps because of my eye plus weekly physical therapy for my shoulders. I'm loosing mobility rapidly. I can't afford for this to happen now. But I keep on sewing...just like the Energizer bunny!!!!!

Happy quilty day!

Oh Linda, I hope the eye specialist can do some good for you.  I am keeping you in my prayers.  You just keep going and going like the energizer bunny.  I admire what you are able to accomplish.    Ginny

Linda, I hope the eye specialist can come up with something that will help.  I find reading to be such a joy, and I don't know what I would do if I couldn't just sit down and read to take me away from it all after a stressful day.

Today, I don't know which project to tackle first...I have 3 large bags of tomatoes that I need to do something with, and a bag full of pickling cucumbers.  I need to run to WalMart and pick up some dog food, boy having 2 large dogs really goes through the dog food, and run to the Post Office to get my RR4 off in the mail.

I've still got to get Marge's quilt quilted, and then there is football practice and TaeKwonDo.  You know I think I'm really busier now than I ever was when I worked full-time, went to school and raised 2 children.  Maybe, it's just that I'm older and can't do as much at one time as I used to do.

It's not French I can guarantee you!! Hihihi. So it's probably Spanish or so I think.

My last post didn't quite make it?  Family under the weather, and i'm counting down for my trip!  My gallery post made it though so I'm glad for that.

Linda I'm praying that specialist can help as I've been told my chances of getting macular degeneration are high so I'm trying to kick out all the quilts on my bucket list.

Karla! I guess Gini is right about iPads. They have a mind of their own. Or maybe it's my fingers.

I'm exhausted and yet don't feel that I've accomplished anything today.  I did get Marge's quilt loaded on the frame, made it to the post office to mail my center block for the Round Robin, and the trip to WalMart for dog food.  Two trips to the high school for football practice, one to the elementary school to pick up grand kids, helped with their homework, fed them dinner, took them to TaeKwonDo.  Got back home about 7 pm, watered the garden and picked the fruits of my labor.  I have now 4 sacks of tomatoes.

Karla

I don't know how you do all the running.  I love my grands to death but I couldn't do all that shuffling all the time.
