We have cooled down into the high 80's, forecasted for the rest of the week.  The cooler weather is nice, but it comes with severe red flag warnings for dry thunderstorms and winds up to 50 mph until 9 pm tonight. I'd like a little bit (hear that little bit) of the rain you in the South are having, but if we got as much rain as you're having, we'd definitely wash away from the flash floods it would create,

Praying for all of you in those rain prone areas who are suffering and pretty much isolated.  Also for those in the Northwest who are battling wild fires, and praying that our area does not suffer from dry lightening caused fires from this wind storm due to come through.

Joyce, your grandson will also be added to my prayer list that he soon will get used to his new live in program.  Change is hard sometimes but he'll soon get used to it.  (((((HUGS)))))

I have a few days off from the grandbabies, sewed on a thanksgiving wall hanging until about one am this morning, and this morning went outside, just to be still and capture a little of what is left of our (shouldn't say it too loud) wonderfully pleasant temp's here in Ohio...caught a little video to share with all of you who haven't experienced playful hummingbirds :)

For some reason the sight wouldn't let me upload the video, so one of my pics will have to do for today...I love these birds they are so playful and hysterical bombdiving each other for the feeders around the house!

Beth, I've never been able to upload a video either.  And, a video is the best way with hummingbirds...they are so fast!  I've tried many times to take pic's with my digital camera without success.  DH has better luck with his Cannon.

Donna, Santa brought me a Nikon J1 for Christmas this past year (used all the points on my credit card and didn't have to spend a cent :)), and I am amazed at the clarity and the speed of this camera...I am still learning!! I went and sat out on our front step and the hummers were within about 2-3 ft of me just playing and having a ball fighting over the feeders...we have 6 spaced out all around the house...the little males get very territorial...think they own the place :)!

Canning?  Sewing?  I started off sewing for about an hour this morning, then had to go and run some errands...ran out of canning jars.  Today I think I'll can tomatoes, that will allow me to sew for awhile while they are in the canner.  According to my canning book they have to be in the canner for about 1-1/2 hours. I really need to finish using up the plums, too, but alas, I'll probably save that for another day.

You're welcome Nana!, Now I have a quilting question for those of you more experienced ladies...I am going to be brave and quilt my wall hanging myself instead of taking it to the long arm lady :)...I will post a picture...I'd like opinions on what color thread would be best....and the plan I was going to use, was to stitch in the ditch on the outside border and just doing a whimsical loopy pattern inside...any opinions or ideas??? They are always welcome and appreciated :)!
