I love all the quilts. You girls are always such an inspiration. I finally finished the "blanket" for my grandson. It will be fun for him.
I made a pillowcase for him to keep it in. The back is Minkie fabric.
Now to figure out that carrier for the matchbox cars! My girls are so creative in what they ask for.
I know it's late but happy mothers' day to all you moms out there.
I managed to make one LUS block this weekend. I've been cleaning out my sewing room and dismantling my old quilting frame. I'm off to soak my bones in the tub then head to bed.
Gini, sorry you've been ill but glad to hear you're on the mend.
Love the quilt Roxana. I bet the back is so soft that Minkie fabric is great.
Roxana - such a cute quilt - and yes Minkie is awesome for the back of our grandkids quilts - my grown son loves it too!
I am home - it was a long long drive yesterday home - through the terrible storms that were driving through Nebraska and Iowa - I had left my son's at 3 a.m. so caught just the end of the storm but it was bad. I was so glad I had woken and taken off so early as if I had left later I would have been amongst it for hours rather then just an hour...but the part I drove through was scary - I just kept looking straight ahead...
So home sweet home! Now to have a few days of rest then my EMG and find out what the next steps for my back are going to be - and after that packing for the next big load north - which will be the last load before we pack up the furniture and appliances. I found a house there that we are going to buy as an interim house - one we can move all our stuff too but not end up in in the end - it is very inexpensive but in very good shape - just smaller then what I want to end up in - but will make it easier to move all our stuff out of this one and get this one absolutely ship shape to sell for the price I want to get... all these little things that I need to do to move up there for good... We will use this house as a rental after we sell this one and buy the house I actually want...
I am hopeful...
Echo and I worked on her first quilt - we got some blocks made but did not get it close to finished - so we will work on it again when I visit up there and finally move there... she was a joy - she had some small problems with the sewing machine - we had to put a box under the presser foot first and then I put the 1/4" foot on with the guard and she did quite well...we did have to use the seam ripper a little bit - but it was oh so much fun! I can not wait to have a room dedicated to my sewing again so that she and I have the room we need and it will be oh so comfortable.
Now to get some more housework done and then rest the rest of the day! I ache everywhere from the drive! Oh my! and of course rain in OK today!
Roxana, fun looking blanket for DGS. I'm sure he will love it.
Thea, glad to hear you make it home okay. Traveling always makes me hurt all over too, especially my knees.
Hi Thea, I'm so glad you made it back home.. I hope that you will rest well for a few days before you get on the road again. You will be a very busy woman for the next few months.

Ok its finally completed. Will be my son-in-laws first Father's Day gift. I'm going to need help with the corners for the border and binding. Otherwise I like the way it came out.
