Your move is exciting, Agnes!  Near to a son and a balcony that overlooks the lake.  Thanks for your tips on storage, I keep trying.

I actually got 3 LUS blocks done last night, now I'm only 15 blocks behind and it's time for another assignment.  I'll catch up, maybe.

I also put a package with a baby quilt in the mail, so does that count?

Candis - love your butterfly quilt and aunt is sure to love it, too.  Makes me wish I had a bunch of old hankies, but only have 2 - one was my Mom's and one was mine when I was little and they were used.

Isn't that weird, Debbie.  Here I'm continually getting the no duplicate post error message and you can post the same thing five times.

Kris your mystery quilt is a   keeper. I laughed when you said bindings were your trouble spot.  I think we all have one. For me it's the quilting.

CC--I believe that as we get better with an aspect, generally with lots of practice or a personal attitude adjustment, trouble spots can be greatly lessened or actually go away. Quilting used to be my least favorite part. With lots of work at it and practice I reached a point of satisfaction. My attitude adjustment was two fold. Firstly, this is a hobby and I need to gear it for myself. At this point it just does not include applique. The major adjustment was that though I allowed myself permission to work at a few different piecing projects plus one embroidery project at any given time I could not stockpile tops to be quilted later. When the current top became two with changes I made, project 2 was put away and I am getting anxious to finish quilting and binding phase 1 so I can see project 2 evolve. When I think of the distance I have come in over 20 years I am amazed. It was one little thing  at a time to become the whole.

I have found the LUS has made me a much better piecer/quilter as I've had to do and practice so many different things and because the blocks are small, i have to be more precise because those little errors show up so much more.  I'm still not perfect, but I really don't cringe too much when I have to do "Y" seams.  Today I was able to complete one LUS block during baby's morning nap.  Now I've fed her lunch and have a batch of muffins in the oven as it is TaeKwonDo day today so I have to have that after school snack ready for the boys.  I'm looking forward to seeing them because they were at their Dad's all last week.  The reprieve from running to TaeKwonDo was nice, but I sure did miss the boys.

I didn't work on a quilt yet, but I did go and buy 49 FQ's. Does that count? I was making some hourglass blocks last night using some charms. I wanted to see what they measured when I squared them up. They were 4". I'm going to make a doll quilt with them.
