Wow one of my good friends in Florida is a Xray tech.  Hard work.  Do you have to wear that lead tag thing that they monitor so your not getting over radiated.  I thought that thing was ingenious.

I feel so bad that your machines are giving you such frustration. Take a day off then try again.

Thea:
Kris, Adding my 2 cents for what it is worth here... when I spray baste I always end up pressing the quilt both front and back afterwards... I tighten the quilt backing tight on a table with my clips and spray the material - lay the batting on and smooth it out... I then lay the top on and fold it back towards the center - I spray baste the top - I never spray the batting...

I got some more spray today. I thought about ironing it but I had appointments all morning so haven't been to the sewing room. I'll try after work tonight.

Thea:
I found one time that it was nothing that I hadn't done to set it up but was the spool of thread I was using - that when I changed to another spool that all worked just fine - for some reason when that spool of thread was wound at the factory - it was off somehow - I used it for hand work from then on as every time I picked it up to use on my machine I had problems...

I changed thread several times but nothing worked. DH and I are convinced something wasn't put back the right way after its last check up. I'll be taking it to the shop tomorrow.

I will definitely say a prayer that it works out with the Pfaff later.

Thea:
I am very close to being done with the top for my Autumn Baltimore Album quilt - I have enjoyed working on this quilt over the last year.  it was one of those quilts that I enjoyed working on a little at a time.

It's lovely. Nice work as always.

Pat Lancaster:
Wow Kris, this quilt is fighting you every step of the way. Maybe it just doesn't want to leave you. That is how some of my UFOs became UFOs. Of course since this is a gift you really need to get it done.

Yep it would be in a heap somewhere if it didn't have a recipient.

Susie:
I have to share this picture.  It's from the round robin last year.  I finally finished it completely with the label and everything.  A dear friend of mine did the quilting.  I gave it to my son, who promptly did this with it.  And he as still curled up in it this morning.  I think we can all safely say that he loves it.

Awesome. It's nice to see quilts being loved.

gini:

Darn, kris, this quilt is really giving you fits.  Try throwing it on the floor and stomping it 'til it behaves.

LOL. I'm sure it will make me feel better if nothing else.

It's a great job but can be trying at times. I'm ready to move on.

A dosimeter, yes. I believe all radiation workers wear some form of this device. I haven't ever registered a dose on any of mine.

Thanks Weezee!  But I can only take credit for the center square and the binding.  There were five other sets of hands that had a greater part in it.
