Nice work Donna.  This is what I did today.  I like how the quilting piecing came out.  Don't like how I attached it to the jeans.

Thank you for the nice welcome. I am still trying to figure out the correct place to post. Help me with direction if I am doing it wrong. Ü

My name is Andrea, I live in Las Vegas. My family and I have been here for just about 3 years. Originally from Washington State. I have quilted for 20+ years. I work for a Fabric Store, uploading product to their online store. It is very hard to save my paychecks! Since we are still new to Vegas, I don't have many quilting friends so this online connection is a nice option!

Recently I became a grandma for the first time. So my most recent quilt projects were baby quilts. Would love to share a couple pictures, but haven't figured it out just yet. Ü

I found the fabric box link, thank your for the page. That helped! I am going to make one tomorrow!

I look forward to getting to know you all a bit better!

Happy Quilting,

Andrea

Pat and Kris, it's raining here in Millbury so I guess you are hurting with all the dampness.  Hope you are feeling much better soon.  I have a friend who has fibromyalgia and she hurts in this weather, warmth seems to help her so keep those joints wrapped up in something soft and cozy.  Kris, I know with you it's a bit different, your spasms come at different times and when unexpected.  Hope they find the root of it soon, it's been too long coming.  (((((HUGS)))))

SpringerMom:

I was thinking that in place of buttons on the boxes you could also make Yo Yo's, or cut out felt or wool flowers to emulate the flower blossoms on the fabric.  Don't think you'd even have to applique the felt or wool pieces, just tack them down. Could even add a button in the center of each... so many things would work!

Great ideas, SpringerMom!  I love that everyone comes up with different ideas, They've become a part of what QCA is all about.

Andrea, looks like you are doing fine.  Got that lovely quilt posted and yes you are in the right place.  I can see why it's hard for you to save your paychecks, who could resist beautiful fabric?  Congrats on becoming a new grandma, enjoy that baby!

I went to Walmart and bought the same buttons that are in the tutorial, guess she shops at Walmart as well.

Debbie-do:

Here's what I made this afternoon...  Haven't filled it up with all my stuff yet but so far I'm liking it.  I added pockets, made the handles longer and put some batting in them to make them softer.

Debbie-do, I for got to ask, what size are your Dresden's?

Marie, you are lucky it is just raining where you are.  I woke up to at least 3 inches of snow on the ground this morning.  It was 79 here the day before yesterday.  This is now officially the snowiest winter that Michigan has ever had since they began keeping records.  I am afraid this weather is headed in your direction.  Keep warm and stay inside.    Ginny
