I finished MQ9 last night, so I made my goal of finishing 2 quilts this month. Here's a pic...didn't have anyone to hold it up or a place large enough to spread it out...so here it is folded in fourths.
OK, looks like the picture didn't show up, so I'll try again.
Beautiful quilt Karla
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I love this quilt. It turned out great. I love the colors.
Quilt, have fun, spend less time worrying if it is perfect.
Karla, I saw your picture over on facebook - Very beautiful quilt! You are kicking butt this year!
I so wish I could keep up with you - but I only have 1 quilt done and 1 that needs the binding part hand sewn on which I am waiting to do till we go north next month. I do have 2 more tops ready for quilting and as soon as I get my scrappy backing done for Celtic Crystals I'll start quilting it... I only had to add about 1 yard of extra fabric to all my scraps that were left over from this BOM to make a backing... almost done with it.
You are awesome lady! Keep Motivating me!!!
Congrats on another finish. Turned out beautiful, Karla.I love the colors you chose. I'm going to have to break down and get a machine with a bigger throat, so I can get some of my UFO's done. I have a ton of tops and they are starting to pile up.
This is striking! The colors are fabulous and I love what you did for the border.
You are just going gangbusters! Congrats on meeting your goal. I am working on the quilting designs for my MQ9 which aren't quite ready yet. I have been working diligently on the Garden Party applique. I actually have blocks 1 and 2 done. Will post a picture if I can find the camera.
Keep up the great work. You inspire us all
Very pretty Karla. I really like your colors. I admire your motivation with all you do.
I cleaned and rearranged my sewing room so I moved my MQ9 and backing to a new spot. LOL, don't think that qualifies as working on a quilt. I did press some scraps and cut into 2.5 and 3.5 strips. I have a big box of scraps to go, wish I would get my act together and cut them as I finish a project. I have been working on a BOM from 2010 doing the QAYG method. I will not be using this method again. I have found that my new rows have to be trimmed because what has been quilted has shrunk up some. I do not like unsewing. My goal was to finish this in Feb., but didn't make it so will shoot for March 15th.
Congrats on finishing your MQ9 Karla. I love the colors and the border treatment is terrific. That pink makes it pop.
I worked on picking fabrics for my DJ Quilt and trimming string off of some I had washed and dryed. Right now my DH is cooking dinner and we are watching the old Peter Pan cartoon from 1953. I had forgot all the funny parts.
Karla, your MQ9 is beautiful- love your border!
@ Karla - love the MQ9 - great colors and border :)
@ Bonita - yes, the blue kaleidoscope blocks are Jinny Beyer border fabric - just love her fabrics and border prints!! Shame it's so pricey! I can usually only get it when I find a good sale :)
Karla, it's a beauty! Love the colors!
Karla great finish and love the big block corners!
