Diane, beautiful work on quilt and blocks. Are they border fabrics from Jenny Beyer?

Karla now I don't feel quite so bad that I have so many unquilted  tops that need to be finished.  I think I have around 14.  After looking at the Branson retreat gals work I'm inspired to go down to my room of doom and work on something today.  I do have a quilt part way quilted for my DGD.  I have set a goal to have it finished by her B/day the 1st of April.  Now that will take a lot of effort.  I need a cheering squad. ha

Been sick for several weeks so have not gotten anything worked on.  Also started a top for my youngest GD.

Carol your clock is beautiful.  I've never seen one or had thought about making a quilted clock.  Good to hear you are able to get to your sewing room.  I hope you foot continues to heal.

chocake & Karla thank you for the comment about not getting to your sewing every day or week.  That makes me feel much better.  Not such a slow poke.  Sometimes I could have the time but just don't have the zip to do anything.  But today I hope to get something done.  Have a great day everyone.

Joyce - I am a self-proclaimed quiltoholic - even wrote the 12 steps about being a quiltoholic - but last year was my worst year - I was in my sewing room for just 2 of the 12 months.  I felt miserable with all that I had planned to sew and couldn't - so it was wonderful to start 2014 in my sewing room and although I can't sew near as much as I did prior to 2013 - I do sew more then last year.

I have always said that Quilting taught me Patience and I got another lesson last year in Patience.  I hope to finish up quite a few UFOs and WIPs this year... I know I have become a tortoise but the tortoise won the race so am not worried anymore... Take your time!  It is more fun for me that way!  I now love finishing a quilt and knowing that I was able to do it!

This is lovely.  The cool, muted colors are very soothing.

Jen I really like the blues in your quilt.  I think the bed shows it off just fine.  Now you make me want to go buy blue fabric which I was already thinking about. :)  I like your choices.

Working more on my crosstitch quilt block I guess i've just been too distracted for sewing today I call it my idle time while I think of a way to finish my wall quilt.  I haven't decided how I'm going to tack both sides together.   Its a reversible wall hanging that Is fast becoming a ufo.

I'm having a real hard time getting to my quilting with this cute little granddaughter here all day and all of my trips to TaeKwonDo.  I've managed to get 2 sides of the binding completed on the MQ9, but by the end of the day I've been exhausted and just crash in my chair.  Then I have trouble sleeping and just toss'n'turn all night and fall asleep just in time to get up and start all over.

Had the 15 year old here a couple of days as he had the flu or something and couldn't go to school.  Just got word that the 10-year old fell off of his bike today and broke his wrist...oh well, that may take care of going to TaeKwonDo for a few weeks, who knows.

Diane, beautiful quilt!  Glad you were able to work through it and take charge.  Love your two "flat" blocks for your next KQ, great colors!
