I am working on "Jodie's BOM Sampler" from 2010. I have been doing quilt as you go and am at the point of putting the last row of blocks on. I want to attach the final row of blocks and the border and and then finish the quilting. Unfortunately I can't find the instructions for the border. I did a search of the site and not surprisingly couldn't find a thing. I did a search on the internet and can find some of the steps, but not the border step. The border consists of 2.5 inch strips sewn together. I have a baggie with yellow, green, pink and blue strips. I can invent something, LOL, but if anyone has the directions I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for any help.

Pat - I tried the link by copying and pasting from my response to you into a new browser window and it came up.  Give it another try...sometimes I get lots of error messages trying to get on the site and later in the day it works.  If you PM me with your email address, I'll also send you the link by email...I was able to get to it that way, too.

I am delighted to announce ...Jr's Star is finished!! I just put the last stitched in the binding.

Nana suggested that I quilt the USS Enterprise into the border. Jr thought that was a great idea... but then, he didn't have to do it. LOL I used glow in the dark thread on the star ship and the stars between the planets.

CC, the quilt has to be the very favorite thing your son possesses.   It turned out so well.  Love the idea of quilting it in glow in the dark thread.     Ginny

CC--Love Jr's quilt. Great job!

Thanks to all who have commented on my Angels in the Sky. I really enjoy the hand embroidery part of any quilts where I incorporate it. I have many more block patterns that I can embroider. The question becomes whether it is suitable for charity quilts as that is the direction my quilt making is taking.
