Next year I'm going to start making the handmade Christmas presents in July!

Maybe we need a RR for Chrismas gifts...lol I wonder if we would still not get it done.

Next year everyone is getting pot holders made from my stash...I hope  .... ( sigh)

Maybe we need a thread for Christmas gifts to remind and encourage?

There is a group, but that still hasn't helped me...lol!

BTW, I did make potholders and ornaments from Christmas scraps this year - last minute gifts for my senior fitness group.

I intended to make Christmas ornaments for each family member. That kind of went down the tube. Next year I'm going to have a Christmas in July deadline for those little things. Perhaps that's what we need? A Christmas in Julyt group challenge for people to post ornaments, potholders, mug rugs etc intended for Christmas 2014 gifts?

Or a challenge to make X number of small quilts or other suitable things for charity, women's shelters etc?

Something to think about.  We're getting ready to go to my son's place. We have our family Christmas today.

Carolyn that little doll & bed and pillow case are adorable.  What little girl wouldn't like it.  What a sweet gift.

Thea ran a Christmas group in 2013 that incorporated the Secret Santa exchange. Just running a topic like this one that stays in the main discussion board and is open to all sounds like a good idea. I find even though I was in the Christmas Group but when I had to opt out of the exchange I didn't check on it. If it would pop up in the normal run of unread when I come on works much better for me. I like things in one spot and user friendly. The regular message boards are much more user friendly for me than the group discussions.

It would be nice to have an open Christmas group, because if life gets busy and you don't have the time you thought you would to participate,  you get kicked out of the Christmas group.  You can't even see what's going on.

Thanks Michelle. I will enjoy my time with my sons. So far the plane is delayed six hours. I am in the boarding zone with tons of impatient people.

thanks Bonita. It was a stressful quilt to make as my friend is not a sew it's but she sure is a perfectionist.  Love her dearly...

Thanks Carolyn. I think that is my favourite too.

thanks Barbara

thanks Weezee!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Only the top pieced so far. It will go into hiding while I finish up all kinds of other projects that have been sitting around. This is at the top of the new list for 2014 to quilt.
