I worked on my

Mystery Quilt #9–Tranquility

I am slow and steady and keep on moving I am moving thru it.  I am going to finish it no matter what.  After my daughter's wedding it had to be put on the back burner and now it is top on the pile.  I only have three more rows to sew they are half pinned and ready to go.  I still need to decide on boarders and backing.  Will post when everything is done.

Quilt, have fun, spend less time worrying if it is perfect.

Bev - what Nancy said!  I remember this quilt from last year. The reindeer look great. Those antlers made a big difference!

Well the micro-fleece backed flannel quilt is done, quilted, and ready for binding.  Since I share my successes, only fair to share my "not so goods" as well.  This quilt is quite the epic fail....but I have to admit that it doesn't look as bad as it really is in the photo!  Maybe I'll just give him the picture and a note saying, "This is what you were supposed to get for Christmas! Now there's a thought....LOL!!  BUT....as bad as this quilt turned out...it is warm...it will serve a purpose...and I did learn quite a lot while making it.  So at the end of the day, maybe it's not such and "epic" fail after all.  Thanks to the responders from my last post for your encouraging words...this is such a great group!!  If I don't get back online for a while, I hope each and every one of you has a WONDERFUL holiday season!  Be well and warm!

Didash! I really like this one- especially the sky background which makes the block "float"....I'd take it off your hands any ol time!

LOL! Pam, I just had to laugh!  The sky fabric is an old flannel sheet that I put up on the rubber tiles to make my "design wall"!  But the quilt does "pop" against it!   When I looked at the pic again to see what you were referring to, I just noticed that I cut the plaid HSTs the wrong direction!!! Oh bully! Oh well, too late now :P

Thanks for the compliment!

Well Didash, I tried to get on here this morning to tell you how nice your quilt looked, but QCA wouldn't let me in.  So this is a little late but the thought is just the same.  I like it!    Ginny

I finished the retirement quilt for my old co-worker. I retired last year and she is retiring the end of Dec.
